In Class 7A, top ranked Walton extended its current winning streak to eight games on Tuesday with a 4-0 win over Roswell. No. 2 Mill Creek defeated Discovery 10-0 on Wednesday to push its winning streak to 10 games. Within the 10-game winning streak includes victories over ranked Parkview, Brookwood, and previously ranked Norcross. North Gwinnett leapt Parkview for No. 3 in this week’s poll and remains perfect with a 14-0 record.

Pope remains a perfect 7-0 in the month of March and sits strong at No. 1 in the Class 6A poll. No. 2 Allatoona plated a 3-2 victory in eight innings over No. 4 Harrison Thursday night. No. 3 Winder-Barrow remains perfect against instate opponents and the Bulldogs defeated Cartersville 6-5 last Saturday.

Starr’s Mill and Cartersville lead the Class 5A and Class 4A polls for the second straight week. Heritage-Catoosa dropped to No. 7 in Class 4A after back-to-back losses to Northwest Whitfield this week. Marist sits at No. 8 in the poll with a 4-8 record, however, the War Eagles have been competitive in their challenging schedule and are one of two teams to beat Class 7A No. 2 Mill Creek this season.

In Class AA, Benedictine reclaimed No. 1 after Elbert County suffered a 7-1 loss to Stephens County last Friday. Bacon County used a pair of wins over Metter to jump the Tigers for No. 8.

Gordon Lee retains its status at No. 1 in Class A-Public after following last week’s 5-3 win over Ringgold by defeating Bowdon and Trion for the second time in March. Irwin County fell all the way to No. 9 after losing to Charlton County 8-1 and Lanier County 5-0 in the past week.
