Top performances from Week 10: Weekend filled with big offensive numbers

It's a pretty good week of top performances when a 249-yard receiving effort (Jones County's Nick Singleton) and a 256-yard rushing effort on 51 carries (Ola's Chris Rodriguez) don't make the top five. Those efforts took place in the same game, by the way. Jones County prevailed 24-21.

Here are some of the week's Top Performances.

Top five

*Brantley County QB Mikel Collins rushed for 206 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries and was 15-of-21 passing for 289 yards and five touchdowns in a 59-45 victory over Appling County. Brantley beat Appling for the first time since 2006.

*Greene County RB/LB Devin Wynn rushed for 257 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries in a 42-14 victory over Lincoln County. He also had 12 tackles.

*Mount Zion WR/DB C.J. Ackles returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown, had five catches for 139 yards, threw a 34-yard pass, intercepted two passes and pinned Trion to the 2-yard line with a 40-yard punt in a 31-24 victory.

*Murray County RB Tucker Gregg rushed for 342 yards and four touchdowns on 28 carries in a 42-24 victory over Lakeview-Ft. Oglethorpe. It was Gregg's second 300-yard rushing game of the season.

*North Murray sophomore OL/DL Luke Griffin had 10 tackles, three for losses, forced two fumbles and intercepted two passes - returning both for touchdowns - in a 60-12 victory over Coahulla Creek.  Griffin, who is committed to Georgia, had five knockdown blocks on offense.

Best of the rest

*Alexander RB Daetrich Harrington rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries, caught a 70-yard TD pass and returned a kickoff 65 yards for a score - a total of four touchdowns - in a 51-35 victory over Creekside.

*Athens Academy WR/RB/LB Ed Ferguson had six catches for 156 yards and a touchdown, rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns, made two tackles, one for a loss, and intercepted a pass in a 29-26 victory over George Walton Academy.

*Athens Christian WR/FS Terrell Mattox had four catches for 107 yards and two touchdowns, made five tackles and intercepted a pass in a 34-8 victory over Providence Christian.

*Brantley County RB John Pollard had 295 all-purpose yards (73 rushing, 85 receiving, 127 returning) and played every snap on defense in a 59-45 victory over Appling County.

*Bremen RB Kyle Bailey rushed for 289 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-24 victory over Adairsville. Bailey also had 10 tackles, three for losses, on defense.

*Brookwood MLB Guillermo Luna had 14 tackles, broke up a pass and recovered a fumble in a 24-23 victory over Parkview.

*Buford RB Anthony Grant rushed for 136 yards and returned a punt 59 yards for a touchdown in a 38-6 victory over Walnut Grove.

*Calhoun QB Baylon Spector rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries and had seen tackles on defense, one for a loss, in a 34-0 victory over Sonoraville.

*Callaway DE Lichon Terrell had eight tackles, five behind the line, a sack, an interception and a fumble recovery in a 35-10 victory over Temple.

*Centennial QB Casen Conway passed for 208 yards, rushed for 68 and had a hand in five touchdowns in a 63-28 victory over Dunwoody. The 63 points are a school record.

*Dacula MLB Babila Fomuteh had 15 tackles, one a sack, in a 9-0 victory over Habersham Central.

*Dalton RB Ahmaad Tanner rushed for 208 yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries in a 31-14 victory over Harrison in a battle of unbeaten, ranked teams.

*Glynn Academy QB Deejay Dallas rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries, passed for 125 yards and caught a 41-yard pass in a 57-27 victory over Richmond Hill. RB Kendall Cross rushed for 201 yards and five touchdowns on 18 carries.

*Grady TE Kemari Averett had seven catches for 159 yards and three touchdowns in a 57-30 victory over Jackson of Atlanta. QB Caylin Newton was 22-of-36 passing for 370 yards and five touchdowns.

*Greater Atlanta Christian QB Davis Mills was 23-of-31 passing for 336 yards and six touchdowns in a 42-14 victory over North Hall.

*Jones County QB Brad Hunnicutt was 25-of-38 passing for 388 yards and a touchdown in a 24-21 victory over Ola. WR Nick Singleton had 14 catches for 249 yards.

*Lovejoy RB Zion Custis rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries in two quarters of a 20-6 victory over M.L. King.

*Macon County QB K'hari Lane threw five TD passes in a game for the sixth time this season in a 55-8 victory over Hawkinsville. He passed for 275 yards, completing eight of 10 attempts.

*Marist P Bill Rubright had punts of 49, 54 and 41 yards, all downed inside the opposing 20-yard line, in a 28-26 loss to Blessed Trinity.

*Mays QB B.J. Phillips was 9-of-17 passing for 292 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 75 yards in a 48-19 victory over South Paulding.

*Miller County sophomore RB Chris Stovall rushed for 196 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries in a 44-8 victory over Randolph-Clay.

*Milton DE Justin Blanks had eight tackles (three for losses and two sacks) and forced a fumble in a 45-0 victory over Forsyth Central.

*Montgomery County RB/FS Clayton Harvey rushed for 107 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries, returned a fumble on defense 60 yards for a touchdown and had eight tackles in a 29-18 victory over Jenkins County.

*Ola RB Chris Rodriguez rushed for 256 yards on 51 carries in a 24-21 loss to Jones County.

*Peach County WR Kearis Jackson had five receptions for 139 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-0 victory over Kendrick.

*Pepperell RB Tae Hammond rushed for 226 yards and five touchdowns on 20 carries in a 49-7 victory over Dade County.

*Pope QB Evan Conley rushed for 154 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries and was 14-of-25 passing for 215 yards and a touchdown in a 48-42 loss to Chattahoochee.

*Rabun County QB Bailey Fisher rushed for 187 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries and was 13-of-18 passing for 245 yards in a 42-10 victory over Elbert County.

*River Ridge QB Gino Portera rushed for 212 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries in a 34-28 loss to Sprayberry. Portera also passed for 114 yards.

*Rome DE Adam Anderson had 10 tackles, four for losses, and batted down two passes in a 49-7 victory over Villa Rica.

*Thomson sophomore RB Bubba Murray rushed for 108 yards and four touchdowns on eight carries in two quarters of a 69-13 victory over Cross Creek.

*Stratford Academy RB Kasey Sanders rushed for 235 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries in a 50-23 victory over Wilkinson County.

*Treutlen QB Tyler Benjamin threw for 228 yards on just 12 attempts, rushed for 76 yards and scored three touchdowns and a conversion in a 36-27 victory over Wheeler County.

*Valdosta DB Jalen Everett intercepted three passes in a 27-7 victory over Lee County.

*Vidalia LB/FB Nate McBride had 12 tackles, one for a loss, recovered a fumble and returned a punt 45 yards that set up a score in a 35-0 victory over Swainsboro.

*Westminster RB Zay Malcome rushed for 248 yards on 25 carries in a 17-10 victory over Lovett.

*Whitewater RB Isaiah Montgomery rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries and had 52 yards and a touchdown receiving in a 38-21 victory over Riverdale, which was Riverdale's first loss in Region 3-AAAAA.

Lines of distinction

*Dawson County's offensive line of Tyler Womack, Wyatt McMahon, Jordan Waddell, Matt Stewart, Brise Henson and Dawson Dominy opened holes for 312 rushing yards in 38-24 win against East Hall.

*Glynn Academy offensive line of OT Zalontae Hillery, OG Amari Cross, CBennett Delany, OG Tra'shawn Baconand OT Michael Thomas paved the way for 683 yards in total offense (517 rushing, 166 passing) in a 57-27 victory over previously unbeaten Richmond Hill. Kendall Cross rushed for 201 yards and five touchdowns on 18 carries. Deejay Dallas rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries and passed for 125 yards. Glynn Academy averaged 13.2 yards per play.

*Lumpkin County's offensive line of C Cage Sanford, G Josh Chastain, G Taylor Miller, T Zach Johns and T Devan Dye blocked for four 100-yard rushers - Zach Matthews (191), Chandler Woodham (157), Cole White (131) and Luke Smith (126) - in a 63-37 victory over Fannin County. Lumpkin rushed for 601 yards.

*North Cobb's offensive line of LT Caderien Carter, LG A.J Diaz, LG Jacob Longacre, C Nick Price, RG Brandon Moore and RT Tim Emerson blocked for two 100-yard rushers and set the table for 432 yards in total offense (290 rushing, 142 passing) in a 31-16 victory over Marietta.

*Pickens' offensive line of LT Connor Head, LG Myles Bramlett, C Josh Holbert, RG Andrew Hasbrouck, RT Zayne Burtz, TE Colby McDowell and TE Luke Smith - nicknamed the Boars - paved the way for 475 yards of total offense (223 rushing, 252 passing) in a 35-34 victory over ninth-ranked Ridgeland.

*Telfair County's offensive line of Turner Flint, Colby Higingbotham, Khamari Rowe, Hilton Graham and T.J. Clay helped the Trojans put up 357 rushing yards and 411 total yards in a 49-21 victory over Charlton County.

*Thomasville's offensive line, consisting of Khalil Frazier, Javante McGriff, Thomas Rayburn, Jadiah Diggs, Sam Teehee and Larry Williams, helped pave the way for 365 rushing yards and five touchdowns in a 55-12 win over Albany.
