Top performances from Week 4: Crowe's passing helps Troup to 4-0 start

Troup's Montez Crowe is a 6-foot-5 quarterback averaging 329 yards passing for a team that's 4-0 team for the first time since 2005.

Crowe passed for 400 yards in a game last week for the second time this season. He has thrown for 1,316 yards total and 11 touchdowns and completed 68 of 99 attempts. Crowe has offers from Morgan State and Navy.

Top five

*Athens Academy RB Peyton Bowles rushed for 196 yards on 16 carries and scored three touchdowns in a 47-0 victory over Athens Christian. He had four tackles, one assist and a pass breakup on defense.

*Colquitt County sophomore LB Callon Kubiak had 10 solo tackles, six assists and six of Colquitt's eight tackles for losses in a 28-0 victory over Roswell. It was the first time that Roswell had been shut out in 221 games, or since 1998.

*Douglas County RB Uriah West had 312 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 29 carries in a 21-0 win over Northgate.

*East Paulding RB Tyrell Robinson rushed for 284 yards on 23 carries and caught five passes for 55 yards in a 30-14 victory over Villa Rica. He scored on plays of 92, 61 and 37 yards.

*Troup QB Montez Crowe passed for 429 yards and five touchdowns in a 62-10 victory over Lamar County. He completed 18 of 27 passes. He has thrown for 1,316 yards in four games.

Best of the rest

*Alexander QB Mason Wood was 13-of-17 passing for 232 yards and five touchdowns in a 48-12 victory over South Paulding. WR Miciah "Rae Rae" Randolph had eight catches for 198 yards and three touchdowns.

*Archer RB Keegan Strickland had 167 yards from scrimmage - 131 rushing, 36 receiving - in a 16-13 victory over Mill Creek.

*Bremen RB Tyran Dobbs rushed for 173 yards and five touchdowns on 25 carries in a 35-14 victory over Trion.

*Callaway DB D.Q. Wilkerson returned punts for touchdowns of 75 and 70 yards in a 44-13 victory over Columbus. Wilkerson is committed to Mercer.

*Campbell NG Justin Hayes had five solo tackles, two assists, three tackles for loss and a sack in a 30-0 win against Sprayberry, which was held to 10 total yards. This was Campbell's first shutout victory since 2007.

*Cartersville RB Rico Frye rushed for 111 yards, had another 37 yards receiving, and scored three touchdowns, giving him 12 on the season, in a 38-5 victory over Westlake.

*Central Gwinnett DB Eric Walker had 10 tackles and an interception in a 23-20 victory over Collins Hill.

*Chattahoochee RB Ty Lucas rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries in a 35-30 victory over Seminole County. Lucas also had two solo tackles, one assist and one tackle for a loss.

*First Presbyterian QB Dalton Cox was 22-of-26 passing for 255 yards and four touchdowns in a 58-17 victory over Hawkinsville.

*Franklin County QB Titlan Wells scored a school-record six touchdowns in a 46-45 victory over Habersham Central. Wells rushed for 181 yards on 24 carries.

*Gordon Lee RB/DB Braden Jarvis rushed for 105 yards on 11 carries, including a 93-yard TD run, in a 24-7 loss to Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe. He also made 11 tackles, intercepted two passes - one on his 2-yard line - and had a third-down sack in the red zone.

*Griffin LB Larry Corbin had 17 tackles (11 solo, six assists), four sacks, two tackles for loss and three QB hurries in a 17-7 victory over Upson-Lee.

*Hapeville Charter RB Harper Atkins rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries in a 35-0 victory over Wesleyan.

*Heritage (Conyers) QB Caleb Pruitt was 23-of-42 passing for 353 yards and four touchdowns in a 43-29 victory over Rockdale County. Jordan Young had 10 catches for 198 yards and a touchdown.

*Hillgrove RB/DB Jaylen McCollough rushed for 170 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-20 victory over West Forsyth. McCollough scored on runs of 25, 3 and 57 yards in the first half. He also had a 22-yard reception.

*Johns Creek RB Nate Hope II had 23 carries for 140 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-13 victory over Pope, his former school. Hope also had three receptions for 71 yards.

*Kennesaw Mountain QB Jarrett Guest was 28-of-43 passing for 343 yards and five touchdowns in a 77-49 loss to Woodstock. Zach Brookshad eight receptions for 177 yards and two touchdowns and a two-point conversion.

*Loganville DL Dustin Moss had eight first hits, five tackles for losses, two assists and a sack in a 21-3 loss to Eastside.

*Lovejoy RB Zion Custis had 194 yards from scrimmage - 146 rushing, 48 receiving - and three touchdowns in a 42-41 loss to Spalding. Custis has 552 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns in four games.

*Marion County RB Travon Matthews rushed for 140 yards on four carries in a 61-0 victory over Pacelli. Matthews has 464 yards rushing and eight touchdowns in three games.

*Miller County RB/LB Chris Stovall rushed for 247 yards and three touchdowns on 42 carries in a 34-23 loss to Mitchell County. Stovall converted two two-point conversions and scored 22 of his team's 23 points.

*Monroe Area DE Javion Heard had three sacks and three other tackles for losses in a 38-7 victory over Walnut Grove.

*Montgomery County RB/FS Clayton Harvey rushed for 249 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries in a 42-21 victory over Wheeler County. He also punted twice (42.0 average) and made six tackles.

*Mount de Sales RBB Adrian Hardwick had 22 carries for 178 yards (8.1 yards per carry) and two touchdowns in a 27-3 victory over Social Circle.

*North Gwinnett RB Tyler Goodson rushed for 241 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries in a 35-14 victory over Norcross.

*Northeast RB Vincent McCarthy rushed for 159 yards and four touchdowns on 20 carries in a 56-14 victory over Twiggs County.

*Paulding County DE Brenton Ballard had five tackles, two tackles for losses, two sacks and two QB hurries in an 18-14 victory over Hiram.

*Rabun County QB Bailey Fisher was 15-of-24 passing for 360 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-26 victory over White County. Fisher also rushed for 41 yards and scored three touchdowns. Rabun had three players with 100 yards receiving - Cole Keener (6-103-2), Austin Jones (4-136-1) and Braxton Hicks (4-104-0).

*Tattnall Square RB Destin Mack rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns in a 29-8 victory over East Laurens.

*Temple RB D.J. "Flea" Winters had 16 carries for 184 yards and four touchdowns and two receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown in a 42-21 win over Armuchee.

*Washington-Wilkes WR Deondre Lester had seven catches for a school-record 217 yards in a 43-32 loss to Jefferson County. QB Donovan Anthony was 15-of-39 (school record for attempts) for 297 yards and three touchdowns.

*White County RB Kaleb Crane rushed for 178 yards in a 49-26 loss to Rabun County.

*Woodward Academy RB Tahj Gary rushed for 159 yards and returned a punt 68 yards for a touchdown in a 39-34 victory over Riverwood. In three games, Gary has scored eight touchdowns - five receiving, two rushing and one punt return.

Lines of distinction

*Dalton's offensive line of Dylan Cole, Manny Vega, Isaac Turner, Ivan Calderon, Osbaldo Beltran, Mal Leonard and Jared Spradlin opened holds or 271 yards rushing in a 41-21 victory over then-No. 9 Sonoraville of Class AAA. Sophomore TB Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns. Tyis Love rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns.

*Heritage (Conyers) passed for 353 yards and rushed for 255 in a 43-29 victory over Rockdale County under the protection of offensive linemen Malachi Hunter, Matthew Yaber, Brenton Thornton, Ethan Saunders and senior captain Murphy McElligott. In three games this season, Heritage is averaging 534 yards of total offense (204 rushing, 330 passing) and 40 points per game.

*Montgomery County's offensive line of Jaheim Wilson, Bryan Coleman, Noah Bargeron, Blaine Craft and Kam Widerman - all underclassmen - helped their team to 485 yards in total offense in a 61-0 victory over Pacelli. In two games, the Eagles have attempted 46 passes without a sack. They are 2-0.

*Pickens' offense line of Aidan Sanchez, Noah Canada, Matt Bradley, Myles Bramblett, Chandler Rhoades and Matt Packas paved the way for 540 total yards - 197 rushing, 340 passing - in a 42-35 victory over North Hall. The line surrendered no sacks in 38 passing attempts. WR Zach Goss set a school record for receptions (10) and TD receptions (four) in a game. Jacob Brumby set a school record with 340 passing yards.

*Temple's offensive line of Trent Dove, Kyle Burkhart, Jacob Whispell, Anthony Spychalla, Mikel Nordholm and Toby Fordham led the way in a 42-21 victory over Armuchee in which Temple rushed 44 times for 369 yards and five touchdowns and completed five of nine passes for 129 yards and a touchdown.

*Woodstock's offensive line of Hunter Ongeri, Jaylen Reid, Andrew Andon, Marcus Preston and Trevor Stephens. They bulldozed into the Cherokee County record books with a 77-49 victory over Kennesaw Mountain. The 77 points scored by Woodstock is a Cherokee County modern-era record. The Woodstock offense gained 590 total yards, with 300 coming on the ground. This line has given up only one sack this season.
