Creekview WR Tanner McCrary entered the state record books last week with his 296 yards receiving in a 41-28 victory over Cambridge.

The yardage total is the second-highest recorded figure in state history behind a 322-yard effort by Decatur's Terryon Robinson in 2011, according to the Georgia High School Football Historians Association.

Creekview coach Terry Crowder called it a break-out game for his 6-foot, 170-pound senior.

"He started last year but had a season-ending hamstring injury," Crowder said. "We knew he was going to be special. I imagine the recruiting will begin for him soon with another couple of those performances. Very good baseball player as well."

McCrary wasn't the only Grizzly with a big game. Chandler Gant was 23-of-33 passing for 337 yards and four touchdowns, and Cade Radam rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries and threw a 34-yard pass.

McCrary's performance was one of the week's best.
