State championships aren't won without great players. Here are five of the best at each offensive position among the 28 teams remaining in the state playoffs. Note one category called special weapons, which recognizes two-way starters and dual-threat quarterbacks. We'll take a look at defensive and special teams players on Wednesday.
*Bailey Hockman, McEachern: Hockman is 170-of-320 passing for 3,223 yards, 40 touchdowns and five interceptions. He is a left-hander and only a sophomore.
*Trevor Lawrence, Cartersville: Lawrence is 170-of-269 passing for 2,908 yards, 26 touchdowns and six interceptions. He is only a freshman.
*Chase Parrish, Colquitt County: Parrish is 200-of-272 passing for 2,534 yards, 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions for the No. 1 team in Class AAAAAA.
*Stevie Powers, Benedictine: Powers is 161-for-237 passing for 2,993 yards, 26 touchdowns and six interceptions. Powers is committed to Southern Miss as a baseball player.
*Gabe Tiller, Archer: Tiller is 160-of-261 passing for 2,663 yards and 34 touchdowns. He has been especially sharp in the playoffs - 48-of-62 (77.4 percent) for 709 yards and eight touchdowns.
*Tyray Devezin, Etowah: Devezin has rushed for 1,521 yards unofficially while starting only half the season, or since older brother Raishod was lost to a season-ending injury in the seventh game. Tyray has 599 yards rushing in the first three rounds.
*Ruben Garnett, Aquinas: Garnett has rushed for 1,996 yards and scored 31 touchdowns.
*Russell Halimon, Allatoona: Halimon's 2,215 yards rushing lead Class AAAAA. He has 24 touchdowns.
*Sihiem King, Colquitt County: King has rushed for 1,790 yards and scored 34 touchdowns, 12 in the playoffs.
*Elijah Holyfield, Woodward Academy: Holyfield has rushed for 1,446 yards and scored 30 touchdowns.
*Kyle Davis, Archer: Davis, who is committed to South Carolina, has 56 catches for 1,030 yards and nine touchdowns.
*Exavius Medlock, Brooks County: Medlock has 50 catches for 1,019 yards and 10 touchdowns.
*T.J. Rahming, McEachern: Rahming has 61 catches for 1,387 yards and 18 touchdowns, plus three punt-return TDs. He is committed to Duke. McEachern sophomore Tyler Smith also has more than 1,000 yards receiving and could easily be on the list.
*Darius Slayton, Greater Atlanta Christian: Slayton has 46 catches for 760 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also plays in the secondary and has five interceptions.
*Brad Stewart, Benedictine: Stewart has 64 catches for 1,244 yards and 17 touchdowns.
*Micah Abernathy, Greater Atlanta Christian: Abernathy has rushed for 1,072 yards and 16 touchdowns on 106 carries. He also plays defense when the going gets tough. He is committed to Tennessee.
*A.J. Gray, Washington County: Gray's 442 yards rushing and eight touchdowns last week against Pierce County are single-game state records for a quarterback. He also plays safety and has returned multiple interceptions for touchdowns. He is committed to Georgia Tech.
*Gerald Morgan, Fitzgerald: Morgan is the state's most prolific running quarterback, with 2,153 yards and 27 touchdowns on 279 carries, but he can throw a little, too. He's 59-of-129 passing for 1,254 yards and 15 touchdowns.
*Kaelan Riley, Calhoun: This dual-threat quarterback has passed for 2,065 yards and rushed for 667 with a hand in 32 touchdowns.
*Justin Thomas, Buford: Thomas has rushed for 698 yards and 16 touchdowns and made 55 tackles and an interception from his linebacker spot.
*Chuma Edoga, McEachern: Edoga is an AJC Super 11 pick committed to Southern Cal. The Indians' other tackle, Tremayne Anchrum, is also outstanding.
*Brad Morgan, Etowah: Morgan is committed to Georgia Tech along with brother Scott Morgan, who plays on Etowah's defensive line.
*Nick Polino, Buford: Another in a long line of Division I linemen from Buford, Polino is committed to North Carolina.
*Brandon Sandifer, Northside (Warner Robins): Committed to Florida, Sandifer is the No. 32 prospect in Georgia, according to 247Sports.
*Dallas Warmack, Mays: Warmack is the consensus No. 22 prospect in Georgia and a U.S. Army All-American.
