Region 1-AAAAAA is beginning to sort itself out after all six teams entered region play unbeaten. But there’s still one matter to be settled, and that will be resolved when Colquitt County visits Valdosta with sole possession of first place on the line. Valdosta has a great defense, but it won’t be enough to stop Colquitt County, ranked No. 1 in the state, from taking over the top spot in the region.
Also look for Marion County (4-A), Union County (8-AA) and Benedictine (2-AA) to emerge as first-place teams in their regions.
