How the game was won: Lambert kept Western Kentucky-commit Davis Shanley in check for most of the game, holding the star quarterback to just 20 points on the board. Ken Dicks picked off a potential touchdown pass in the end zone in the fourth quarter to help stave off the War Eagles.
Top Performers: Bryce Christensen booted field goals of 27 and 36 yards for Lambert. Richie Kenney hit Tyler Gillis on a 15-yard fade pass to open up the scoring. Jaryd Jean-Felix blocked a punt and recovered in the end zone to hand Lambert a 17-6 lead in the third quarter. Brian Wright scampered 78 yards untouched to make it 28-14 in the fourth quarter. South Forsyth’s offense was keyed by Davis Shanley who scored on a 5-yard run, a 6-yard run and tossed a touchdown with a second to play.
Alexander 43, Tri-Cities 13
How the game was won: The varsity needed only two quarters to build an insurmountable 43-0 halftime lead. Daetrich Harrington paced the rushing attack with three touchdowns.
Top Performers: Daetrich Harrington rushed just six times for 104 yards and three touchdowns. Mason Wood went 16-of-21 for 207 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Micah Randolph caught three passes for 51 yards and a score while Justin Hall hauled in four for 48 yards and a touchdown. Steve Winston recorded five catches for 62 yards. Justin Hall returned a punt 76 yards for a touchdown.
Dalton 40, River Ridge 14
How the game was won: Dalton moved to 6-0 and 3-0 in Region 6-AAAAAA, as the Catamounts continue to control their own destiny.
Top Performers: JP Tighe ignited the scoring with a 60-yard touchdown pass to Zeke Cobb. Ivan Mora booted a 25-yard field goal, Chad Stepp returned a punt 50 yards and the Catamount defense collected a safety to make it 19-0 at the end of one. Ahmad Tanner scored on a 3-yard run while Keith Bonds and N’sier Porter both tacked on touchdowns, Porter’s 39-yard run. River Ridge scored on a 1-yard Jarrod Fletcher run in the second quarter and a Josh Porter 24-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Herring in the fourth.
North Forsyth 28, Forsyth Central 15
How the game was won: North Forsyth’s turnaround under first-year head coach Robert Craft continued as the Raiders now sit at 4-2 after finishing 2-8 in 2015. Arthur Boyzo’s 35-yard kick with5:06 remaining in the fourth put the game out of reach.
Top Performers: Carter Mullikin punched in a 1-yard score to give North Forsyth an early lead they never relinquished. Griffin Heffington added a 14-yard score and Arthur Boyzo sank a 38-yard field goal to give the Raiders an 18-7 halftime lead. Bryson Trigg tacked on a 2-yard touchdown run in the third quarter before Boyzo’s 35-yard field goal. Forsyth Central received touchdowns from Blake Wood on a 6-yard run in the first quarter and a fourth quarter Brad Thiltgen 39-yard pass to Mark Heard.
Twiggs County 21, Stratford Academy 0
How the game was won: Javoris Smith scored two first half touchdowns and the Cobra defense constricted Stratford throughout the game to pick up a shutout victory between top 10 programs in Class A.
Top Perfomers: Javoris Smith scored on a 2-yard touchdown run giving Twiggs County a 6-0 first quarter lead. Calvin Stephens hit Smith on a 27-yard pass to make it 14-0 after Ja’mon Height added the 2-point conversion. The final score of the night came from the legs of Height on a 23-yard run in the third quarter.
Oconee County 55, North Oconee 14
How the game was won: Oconee County leapt out to a 10-0 first quarter lead and built its advantage to 48-0 in the third quarter before North Oconee finally broke the shutout.
Top Performers: Sam Middlebrooks tossed three touchdown passes, connecting with Ty Paschal twice, Cam Conglose and Roques Dowdy. Max Johnson entered late in the third to throw a 17-yard touchdown to Blaize Williams. Jared Hook scored on a 60-yard run in the first quarter after Hunter Reynolds sank the first of two field goals on the night. Jarvis Stevens scored a fourth quarter touchdown for the Warriors. North Oconee scored on a 66-yard Jermaine Browner run and a Turner Daniel touchdown.
Prince Avenue Christian 49, Lakeview Academy 0
How the game was won: Grant Roland and Thomas Huff accounted for all five first half touchdowns as the Wolverines overpowered the Lions after a leading just 7-0 following the first quarter.
Top Performers: Thomas Huff ran in touchdowns of 20 and five yards in the first half. Grant Roland tossed touchdowns of 66 and 30 yards to Christian Parrish. Roland hooked up with Noah Campbell for a 15-yard score. Sam Wessinger scored both second half touchdowns with a 15-yard run in the third quarter and a 1-yard dive in the fourth.
Cartersville 52, LaGrange 7
How the game was won: Cartersville five-star junior quarterback Trevor Lawrence ran in three first half touchdowns and tossed a pair of scores to Avery Showell to give the Purple Hurricanes a 35-7 lead. Lawrence found EJ Turner for his third passing touchdown just 44 seconds into the second half.
Top performers: Avery Showell caught two touchdown passes from Trevor Lawrence and teammates EJ Turner and Trey Creamer also logged receiving touchdowns. Jonathan Cruz connected on a 27-yard field goal that made it 45-7.
Thomas County Central 33, Warner Robins 22:
How the game was won: Eli Mashburn kicked three early field goals and a blocked punt set up a Jarius Burnett 3-yard touchdown run to give Warner Robins a 15-7 lead with 3:12 left in the first half. Things quickly spiraled out of control as a pair of turnovers set up two quick Thomas County Central touchdowns and the Yellow Jackets went into the half leading 19-15 after Kelias Williams’ late quarterback sneak. Williams ran in a 13-yard touchdown to push the lead to 26-15 in the third quarter and then hit Tay Cooksey for a 65-yard touchdown that made it a 33-15 lead. Burnett stopped the 26-0 scoring run with a 19-yard Warner Robins touchdown that brought it within 33-22, but a controversial fair catch ruling on an onside kick stopped the pendulum from swinging the momentum back to the Demons’ favor.
Top performers: Kelias Williams led Thomas County Central with three rushing touchdowns and a 65-yard touchdown pass to Tay Cooksey.

How the game was won: Peach County’s Shamarcus Redding put the game out of reach with a interception return for a touchdown in the third quarter. Peach County led 17-0 at halftime.
Top Performers: Antonio Gilbert put on a show passing for four touchdowns to four different receivers. Devontae Howard caught a 61 yard touchdown pass. Teammate Justin Harris scored on a 22 yard pass. Kearis Jackson caught a 17 yard pass for a score and Kendrick Johnson added a 9-yard touchdown pass. Kyle Finneran kicked a 35 yard field goal.

How the game was won: Host Woodstock turned a 7-7 tie at halftime into a rout with three fourth-quarter touchdowns, including a passing and rushing score from quarterback Liam Byrne.
Top performers: Brandon Onuschak made it 21-7 Woodstock in the fourth quarter with a 40-yard rush, and Byrne added a 17-yard passing TD to Louis Hall and rushed for a 25-yard touchdown for the game’s final score. Byrne, who was 20-of-28 passing for 187 yards and two touchdowns to go with 75 yards rushing, opened scoring with a 47-yard pass to Noah Frith in the first quarter. Stuart Head scored Etowah’s lone touchdown in the first quarter on a 57-yard rush.
