How the game was won: Houston County quarterback Jake Fromm led the Bears to a 31-28 halftime lead with 370 passing yards and two touchdowns. Fromm found his little brother Tyler Fromm with 5:34 left in the third quarter to make it 38-28 and connected with Jaeven West with 4:08 left in the game to push the lead to 45-35.

Top performers: Jake Fromm finished with 534 passing yards and four touchdowns.

Commerce 42, Athens Academy 30

How the game was won: Commerce handed Athens Academy its first loss of the year and led the entire game while the two teams traded scores. The Spartans could never get closer than four points, trailing in the second half by scores of 14-10, 21-17, 28-24 and 35-30. Lane Sorrow's 24-yard touchdown run with 2:02 left to play finally put the game officially out of reach.

Top Performers: Cole Chancy punched in runs of 28 and one yards. Austin Brock scored on runs of 11 and 20 yards. While the Tigers got the job done on the ground, the Spartans attacked throw the air with Jacob Hudson who threw three touchdowns; two to Owen Roberts and one to Payton Bowles. Bowles added a second score in the fourth quarter. Drew Byus hit a 37-yard field goal.

West Forsyth 55, North Forsyth 7

How the game was won: Kiernan Hamilton threw six touchdowns to pace the Wolverines in a romp of the rival Raiders.

Top Performers: Kiernan Hamilton tossed touchdowns of 52 and 31 yards to Bryce Jones. In the third quarter Hamilton hit Zach Burns from 75 and 42 yards out. Ben Bresnahan (48) and Thomas Arundale (6) both caught touchdowns. Trevor Hickman punched in a 1-yarder and Joshua Nash added a 52-yard touchdown. North Forsyth scored on a 13-yard Ben Bales pass to Simon Holcomb. 

First Presbyterian Day 47, Mt. de Sales 0

How the game was won: The Vikings defense pitched a shutout and Dalton Cox threw six touchdowns to rout the Cavaliers.

Top Performers: Dalton Cox tossed two touchdowns to Titus Moore (57, 60), three to Armaun Smith (53, 8, 28) and one to Maurice Gordon (27). CJ Harris ignited the scoring outburst with a 6-yard run.

Prince Avenue Christian 76, Providence Christian Academy 0

How the game was won: Prince Avenue overwhelmed Providence, building a 41-0 lead at the half before keeping the foot on the gas in the second half. Noah Campbell scored six touchdowns on the night.

Top Performers: Noah Campbell accounted for six touchdowns: a 65-yard touchdown reception from Grant Roland, a short pass from Roland and runs of 49, 14, 8 and 2 yards. Roland tossed three touchdowns, hitting Sam Wessinger from 25 yards out. Thomas Huff, Tyler Roberts and Jack Johnston all found the end zone. Josh Cartey returned an interception for a score.

Thomson 20, Burke County 7

How the game was won: Host Thomson dominated in all three phases of the game and clinched the Region 3-AAAA title while keeping its perfect season (9-0) alive. Running back Mike Thomas gave Thomson a 7-0 lead with a 9-yard touchdown run in the opening quarter. Burke County answered with its only points of the game on a Damari Kelly 1-yard touchdown to tie it at 7-7. Thomson regained the lead and then extended it to 13-7 with two Dakota Gergen field goals. The second field goal was set up after Burke County intercepted Thomson and then turned it over on downs. Christian Tutt put the game out of reach with a 58-yard punt return touchdown and closed the door with an interception to seal the win.

Top performers: Mike Thomas finished with a 9-yard touchdown run and led Thomson with 131 of its 171 yards from scrimmage in the first half. Christian Tutt tabbed an interception and punt return touchdown in the second half.

Tattnall Square Academy 7, Stratford Academy 3

How the game was won: Tattnall Square remained perfect on the season after entering the fourth quarter of a defensive struggle down 3-0. Ahmad Barron's 40-yard touchdown run with 3:12 left in regulation sparked the Trojans to victory.

Top Performers: Jake Jamison booted a 30-yard field goal with 25.4 seconds left in the second quarter to give the Eagles an early lead. Ahmad Barron's 40-yard dash was the game winner for Tattnall Square.
