Last week: Beat Hoover, Ala. 35-26. Leading 28-26 in the fourth quarter, and its 14-point lead nearly gone, Grayson got a 71-yard TD pass from D.J. Irons to Kenyon Jackson to settle a matchup between defending state champions. Irons was 14-of-21 passing for 211 yards and a touchdown. Ronald Thompkins rushed for 92 yards on 17 carries. Hoover entered ranked No. 9 nationally by USA Today but fell to 2-4 all-time vs. Georgia teams, 0-2 vs. Grayson, all in games played since 2008. Next: Friday vs. McEachern (0-1)

Last week: Beat Vista Murrieta, Cal. 26-7. Daijun Edwards rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. Ty Leggett of Colquitt rushed for 75 yards on 14 carries. Vista Murrieta, ranked the No. 21 overall team in California by MaxPreps, was held to 125 yards of total offense. Last week: Beat International School, Fla. 56-0. Lowndes returned four interceptions and a kickoff for touchdowns - all in the first quarter - during which the Vikings built a 48-0 lead. Terrell Belcher scored on interception returns of 36 and 18 yards. Patrick Brown returned an interception 65 yards for a score. Tayvonn Kyle ran an interception 31 yards and a free kick after a safety 55 yards for scores. Lowndes also scored two safeties. International School was held to minus 64-yards rushing, minus-60 yards total, and no first downs. Lowndes did not attempt a pass and ran only 15 plays from scrimmage. Last week: Beat Stephenson 31-13. Stephenson led 6-0 into the second quarter, but Mill Creek scored the next 31 points. Uriah Leverette rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Brady Longenecker was 13-of-18 passing for 156 yards. Mill Creek led in total yards 367-137. Next: Friday at Dacula (0-1)

Last week: Beat Shiloh 69-0. Parkview had 504 yards of total offense. Fred Payton was 14-of-17 passing for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Demetrius West rushed for 119 yards. Malik Washington had 119 yards of total offense and scored two touchdowns. Next: Friday at Lowndes (2-0)

Last week: Beat Etowah 38-35. Anthony Rodriguez kicked a 32-yard field goal with 1 second left. Dillon Waye's 23-yard pass to Trey Urquhart with 10 seconds left put North Cobb in position to win it. North Cobb trailed 21-7 at halftime and led 35-21 in the fourth quarter. Backup PK Adrian Strain, playing his first season of football and attempting his first field goal, made a 34-yarder with two minutes left, and Aaron Finch then blocked Westlake's potential tying field goal from 20 yards with 30 seconds left. Chris Royalston rushed for 110 yards and scored both Hughes touchdowns, one a 95-yard kickoff return. Hughes beat Westlake, its south Fulton County neighbor, for the second season in a row. The second TD pass was a flea-flicker with 8:02 left. Kadum was 9-of-14 passing for 197 yards. Jamius Griffin rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Last week: Beat Newnan 40-13. Starr's Mill trailed 13-6 in the first quarter but won easily and avenged a 2016 loss. Cole Gilley rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries. Starr's Mill is the second Fayette County school ever to get a win over new Newnan coach Chip Walker, who was 15-1 vs. fellow Fayette teams while at Sandy Creek. Next: Friday at Northgate (1-0)

Last week: Beat Tri-Cities 34-6. Carver held Tri-Cities to 81 yards of total offense. DL Jatavious Ponder and DE/L Solomon Mosley were in on six tackles for losses each. Octavious Battle was 12-of-17 passing for 259 yards and two touchdowns. Jo'Quavious Makes rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. Last week: Beat Bartram Trail, Fla. 52-45. Rico Frye's 2-yard run with 3:40 left broke a 45-45 tie. Bartram Trail had a final play at the Cartersville 12-yard line with three seconds left, but Cartersville blitzed and forced an incompletion. Cartersville led 38-10 in the second quarter and had more than 400 yards of offense in the first half before the game turned. Trevor Lawrence was 18-of-23 passing for 403 yards and five touchdowns. Frye rushed for 111 yards. Bartram Trail quarterbacks Riley Smith and Joey Gatewood were a combined 27-of-34 for 366 yards. The game was televised nationally by ESPN to showcase QB prospects Lawrence (Clemson) and Gatewood (Auburn). Next: Friday vs. Calhoun (2-0)

Kearis Jackson caught a 53-yard TD pass from Antonio Gilbert and returned a punt 62 yards for a touchdown, both in the second quarter, as Peach took a 30-14 lead. Last week: Beat Westminster 41-7. Westminter didn’t have a drive longer than six plays or 32 yards until late in the fourth quarter. Sean Henderson made two 50-yard field goals, and Kyler McMichael rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Curland returned an interception 60 yards for a touchdown. Last week: Beat Southwest DeKalb 37-7. Cedar Grove held Southwest DeKalb to 83 total yards, minus-2 in the first half. Jenkins took a 24-14 lead when Daniel Jordan returned a fumble 20 yards for a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage in the second half, then a 38-24 lead in the fourth quarter on an 81-yard pass from Javonte Middleton to Ameen Stevens. Thompson's Taulia Tagovailoa, brother of Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa, was 31-of-42 for 329 yards and two touchdowns. His TD pass with 8:05 left gave Thompson a 21-20 lead. Hapeville had led 17-0.
