Last week: Beat John Curtis Christian, La. 22-9. Grayson trailed 9-3 with 6:59 to play in the third quarter but then scored on drives of 80 yards (nine plays) and 61 yards (11 plays) to take control against the top-ranked team in Louisiana. QB David Irons passed for 126 yards and rushed for 91. Next: Sept. 22 vs. International School, Fla. (1-1)

*2. (2) Colquitt County (4-0)

Last week: Beat Roswell 28-0. Ty Leggett rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries, and Colquitt became the first team to shut out Roswell since North Cobb in 1998, a streak of 221 games, which is the state record. QB Steven Krajewski was lost to injury in the second quarter and did not return. Next: Friday at Brookwood (1-2)

*3. (3) Lowndes (3-0)

Last week: Game with Shiloh was postponed until Sept. 22. Next: Friday vs. Newton (3-0)

*4. (6) Archer (3-0)

Last week: Beat Mill Creek 16-13. Archer beat Mill Creek for the first time in three chances and ended Mill Creek's 28-game winning streak in the regular season. Mill Creek got within 10-6 on an interception return, but Archer answered with an 89-yard TD drive. Archer QB Carter Peevy was 6-of-11 passing for 119 yards. Keegan Strickland rushed 14 times for 131 yards. Next: Friday vs. Norcross (1-2)

Last week: Lost to Archer 16-13. Mill Creek's 28-game winning streak in regular-season games was ended as the Hawks were held to less than 150 yards of total offense. Mill Creek got its first touchdown on an 18-yard interception return by Shaka Heyward. Next: Sept. 22 vs. Collins Hill (2-2)

*8. (NR) North Gwinnett (3-1)

Last week: Beat Norcross 35-14. Tyler Goodson rushed for 241 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries. Jimmy Urzua was 9-of-18 passing for 115 yards and a touchdown. North Gwinnett had lost four straight to Norcross. Next: Sept. 22 at Mountain View (3-0)

*9. (9) South Forsyth (4-0)

Last week: Beat South Gwinnett 30-23. His team trailing 23-22, QB Cal Morris scored on a 75-yard run in the final two minutes. Jared Honey rushed for 95 yards on 29 carries. South Gwinnett QB Treyvon Woodson threw for 330 yards, but South Forsyth had four sacks and two interceptions. Next: Sept. 22 vs. Lassiter (3-0)

Last week: Beat Jonesboro 49-10. McEachern held Jonesboro to less than 150 yards in total offense and scored two touchdowns and a safety with its defense. Nasier Currie-Sudler had a 35-yard interception return, and Dante Fleming ran a fumble 12 yards. Next: Friday vs. Westlake (1-2)

Last week: Beat Americus-Sumter 49-14. Niko Cruz scored five touchdowns, and Lee put up 445 yards of total offense. Shaundarious Kimbrough rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown, and Ty Terrell had 100 yards receiving. Lee had six sacks, three by DE Eric Price. Next: Friday vs. Luella (0-4)

Last week: Beat Hughes 32-20. Mays scored 20 points after Hughes took a 14-12 lead midway through the third quarter. The rally started with Ihbbin Tophia's 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. It ended when Antonio Grier blocked a punt and recovered it in the end zone. Mays arrived at the game just minutes before kickoff and finished getting dressed on the bus. Last week: Beat Lanier 22-7. Northside trailed 7-0 at halftime but got three second-half TD runs by Marcus Jolly. Northside held Lanier to 116 yards of total offense. Jolly rushed for 106 yards on 12 carries. Next: Friday at Ware County (0-2)

*7. (6) Hughes (2-1)

Last week: Lost to Mays 32-20. Hughes got a 35-yard TD pass from Jacquez Milam to Christian Royster for a 7-0 lead and went up 14-12 in the third quarter on T.J. Portress's 4-yard run, but Mays returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown and scored 20 straight points. Next: Friday at Tri-Cities (0-2)

*8. (9) Winder-Barrow (3-0)

*9. (NR) Douglas County (3-0)

Last week: Beat Northgate 21-0. Uriah West rushed for 312 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries. Douglas County is ranked for the first time in an AJC poll since 2005. Next: Friday vs. South Paulding (0-3)

Last week: Beat Kell 54-33. Rome had 555 yards in total offense and took the lead for good on Knox Kadum's 42-yard TD pass to Xavier Roberts with 8:54 left in the third quarter. Kadum was 13-of-18 passing for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Jamious Griffin rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. Jalynn Sikes rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. DE Adam Anderson had two sacks and a third tackle for a loss. Next: Sept. 22 at Paulding County (1-2)

Last week: Game with International School, Fla., was canceled. Next: Friday vs. South Pointe, S.C. (2-0)

*3. (3) Stockbridge (3-0)

Last week: Beat Dutchtown 13-7. Dutchtown went up 7-0 on its first possession, and Stockbridge didn't take the lead until the fourth quarter on a 5-yard run by Marquez Ezzard. B.J. Riley rushed for 111 yards on 14 carries. Stockbridge completed only one of six pass attempts. It was Stockbridge's 28th consecutive regular-season victory. Next: Friday at Ola (1-2)

*7. (7) Jones County (3-0)

Last week: Beat Locust Grove 43-7. De'queze Fryer had 133 receiving yards and two touchdowns, one on an 83-yard screen. Next: Friday at Woodland-Stockbridge (3-1)

*8. (8) Starr's Mill (3-0)

Last week: Beat Chapel Hill 56-21. Starr's Mill scored eight rushing touchdowns, four by Cole Gilley, who rushed for 92 yards. Next: Friday at Sandy Creek (3-0)

*9. (9) Kell (0-3)

Last week: Lost to Rome 54-33. Kell took a 33-32 lead on Josiah Futral's 79-yard run with a two-point conversion with 9:50 left, but Rome scored the final 22 points. Futral rushed for 121 yards on 11 carries. Evan Conley was 22-of-39 passing for 261yards and three touchdowns. Next: Friday vs. Paulding County (1-2)

*1. (1) Cartersville (4-0)

Last week: Beat Westlake 38-5. Rico Frye rushed for 111 yards, had another 37 receiving, and scored three touchdowns, giving him 12 on the season. Trevor Lawrence was 17-of-24 passing for 281 yards and two touchdowns. Cartersville had 325 yards in total offense in the first half. Next: Sept. 22 vs. Cedartown (4-0)

Last week: Game with Pace Academy was canceled. Next: Sept. 29 vs. Clarkston (0-4)

*3. (3) Sandy Creek (3-0)

Last week: Beat Morrow 26-0. Jordan Clark scored three touchdowns for Sandy Creek. Next: Friday vs. Starr's Mill (3-0)

*4. (4) Blessed Trinity (3-1)

Last week: Beat Creekview 28-27. Blessed Trinity came back from a 27-7 deficit. Jake Smith threw a 57-yard TD pass to Ryan Davis to put Blessed Trinity ahead in the final five minutes after Steele Chambers intercepted a pass. Blessed Trinity later stopped Creekview on a fourth-day play at midfield to clinch the victory. Chambers rushed for 116 yards, and Elijah Green ran for 112. Smith and Davis hooked up for another touchdown in the first half. Next: Friday at Hart County (0-3)

*5. (5) Marist (3-0)

Last week: Beat St. Pius 17-14. Timmy Bleekrode kicked a 25-yard field goal on the final play for the game-winner. St. Pius had tied the game on Scott Braswell's 1-yard run with 5:04 left. Marist QB Chase Abshier rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Marist led in total offense 259-205. Next: Friday vs. Woodward Academy (3-0)

*7. (6) Woodward Academy (3-0)

Last week: Beat Riverwood 39-34. Trailing 34-33, Christian Wylder threw a TD pass to Hunter Sellers with about 1:30 left at the end of a 62-yard drive Tahj Gary rushed for 159 yards and returned a punt 68 yards for a touchdown. LB Kimani Vidal had three tackles for losses. Next: Friday at Marist (3-0)

*8. (8) Ridgeland (4-0)

Last week: Beat Chattooga 38-7. Ridgeland rushed for 269 yards, and QB Tanner Hill threw for 130 yards and two touchdowns, both to Stephon Walker. Ridgeland intercepted four passes, including two by Jordan Hughley. Ridgeland led 31-7 at halftime. Next: Sept. 22 at Northwest Whitfield (3-1)

*9. (9) Burke County (4-0)

Last week: Beat Lakeside-Evans 38-3. Burke County had a 460-70 advantage in total offense but led only 14-3 midway into the third quarter before blowing it open. QB William Knight rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries and was 9-of-14 passing for 79 yards. Next: Sept. 22 at Effingham County (1-2)

*10. (10) Mary Persons (3-1)

Last week: Beat Forest Park 52-0. J.D. Hardage threw three TD passes in the first half as Mary Persons took a 42-0 lead. Alex Rivera kicked a 54-yard field goal. Next: Friday vs. Peach County (2-1)

Class AAA

*1. (2) Cedar Grove (3-0)

Last week: Beat Columbia 33-0. Jadon Haselwood scored touchdowns on a reception and a punt return, forced a fumble and had a sack. Cedar Grove held Columbia to 47 total yards and recorded its ninth shutout since 2015. Xavier Dennis was 7-of-12 passing for 98 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 32 yards. Next: Friday vs. Lovett (1-2)

*2. (3) Peach County (2-1)

Last week: Beat Perry 47-19. Antonio Gilbert was 26-of-38 passing for 292 yards. He also rushed for 50 yards. Kearis Jackson had six catches for 108 yards. Peach led 31-7 at halftime. Next: Friday at Mary Persons (3-1)

*3. (1) Greater Atlanta Christian (2-1)

Last week: Lost to Valor Christian, Col. 28-22. GAC led 13-7 in the first half but couldn't hold on against a team ranked No. 2 overall in Colorado by MaxPreps. GAC QB Justin Rose was 15-of-30 passing for 173 yards. Next: Friday at St. Pius (0-3)

Jenkins took a 43-35 lead when, after a touchdown, Jenkins holder Javonte Middleton came up with a loose ball and threw to Taurus Simmons for a two-point conversion. Liberty County then returned the kickoff for a touchdown but was stopped on a two-point attempt. Middleton was 13-of-26 passing for 262 yards with three touchdowns. Treshawn Douse had five catches for 109 yards and two touchdowns. *8. (8) Bremen (3-0)

Last week: Beat Trion 35-14. Tyran Dobbs scored all five Bremen touchdowns, all in the first half. Bremen is 3-0 for the first time since 2010. Next: Friday at Murray County (2-1)

Last week: Beat Walnut Grove 38-7. Chandler Byron rushed for 122 yards and passed for 107. Jakia Thompson rushed for 89. Emmanuel Okwudili had six catches for 90 yards. Javion Heard had three sacks and three other tackles for losses. Monroe Area is ranked for the first time since 2013. Next: Friday vs. Madison County (1-2)

Last week: Beat Southeast Bulloch 48-7. Travis Blackshear rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns and scored on a 36-yard pass from Nick Iannone. Benedictine had 340 yards rushing as a team. Next: Friday at Swainsboro (3-0)

*2. (2) Hapeville Charter (3-1)

Last week: Beat Wesleyan 35-0. Hapeville held Wesleyan to 103 yards of total offense. M.J. Latimer returned an interception 59 yards for a touchdown. Hapeville had nearly 350 yards rushing. Harper Atkins rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Marcus Carroll carried 15 times for 97 yards. Hapeville survived 220 yards in penalties. Next: Sept. 22 at South Atlanta (1-3)

*3. (3) Screven County (2-0)

Last week: Game with Statesboro was canceled. Next: Friday vs. Butler (1-2)

Last week: Beat White County 49-26. Rabun scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to break open a tight game. Bailey Fisher was 15-of-24 passing for 360 yards and three touchdowns. Rabun had three players with 100 yards receiving - Cole Keener (6-103-2), Austin Jones (4-136-1) and Braxton Hicks (4-104-0). White County RB Kaleb Craine rushed for 178 yards. Next: Sept. 22 vs. West Hall (3-1)

Last week: Beat Columbus 44-13. D.Q. Wilkerson returned two punts for touchdowns of 75 and 70 yards. His first runback made the score 28-7 late in the first half. Callaway also scored on a 60-yard double pass from QB Kedrick Ramsey to WR Jacob Freeman to RB D.J. Atkins. Next: Friday at Upson-Lee (2-1)

Fitzgerald, the AA runner-up the past two seasons, lost to a team in a lower classification for the first time in 17 games, or since Hawkinsville's Class A championship team in 2003. Last week: Beat Hart County 49-19. ELCA had 495 yards of total offense. Josh Mays rushed for 128. Jalen Pearson rushed for 73 on three carries. Justin Menard had two catches for 91 yards and two touchdowns. LB Harrison Taylor had three sacks, two tackles for loss and eight tackles in 2.5 quarters of play. Next: Friday at Holy Innocents' (1-2)

Last week: Beat Lakeview Academy 55-21. Commerce rushed for 453 yards. Tylen Brock scored on an 83-yard run. QB Nate Ray threw TD passes of 76 and 3 yards on his only two attempts. He also scored a touchdown and a conversion. Next: Sept. 22 vs. Athens Christian (1-2)
