Last week: Beat Newton 57-0. Lowndes led 42-0 at halftime and increased its per-game scoring average to 55.5 points. QB Michael Barrett rushed for 158 yards and four touchdowns on 13 carries and was 5-of-7 passing for 114 yards and a touchdown. Tyson Shaw had eight solo tackles, three for losses. Next: Friday vs. Shiloh (0-4)

*3. (4) Archer (4-0)

Last week: Beat Norcross 16-13. Carter Peevy threw the winning TD pass, a 13-yarder to Braylen Weems with one minutes left at the end of an 82-yard drive. Archer scored its first touchdown on an 80-yard drive in the first half when Peevy threw 35 yards to Andrew Booth on a fourth-and-9. Peevy was 16-of-25 passing for 168 yards. Last week: Beat Wheeler 44-10. D.J. Soyoye rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries, and Walton scored touchdowns on its first six possessions. Walton beat Wheeler for the 11th consecutive time. Next: Friday at Dacula (1-3)

*8. (NR) Brookwood (2-2)

Last week: Beat Colquitt County 42-25. Dante Brown rushed for 267 yards on 32 carries and scored five touchdowns, three in the first quarter as Brookwood took a 21-0 lead. QB Angelo DiSpigna was 11-of-17 passing for 177 yards, 80 on a TD pass to Matthew Hill. Brookwood had six sacks, two by D.J. Horne. Next: Friday vs. Berkmar (0-4)

*9. (10) McEachern (2-2)

Last week: Beat Westlake 28-9. McEachern intercepted three passes, blocked two punts and recovered a fumble. Jalen Thornton, subbing for injured Paris Brown, rushed for 201 yards on 25 carries. Next: Friday vs. Camden County (2-2)

*10. (NR) Tift County (5-0)

Last week: Beat Parkview 50-37. Tift County had 567 yards of total offense. QB Griffin Collier was 15-of-19 passing for 353 yards and three touchdowns. Rashod Bateman had six catches for 248 yards. Mike Jones rushed for 119 yards on 15 carries. Tift is ranked by the AJC for the first time since 2007. Next: Friday vs. Coffee (3-0)

Last week: Beat Jonesboro 42-7. Taurean Taylor rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. LB Mike Harris and LB Cameron Carter had three sacks between them. Next: Friday vs. M.L. King (2-2)

Last week: Beat Luella 57-7. Shaun Kimbrough scored four touchdowns on seven carries, and Tay Mayo and Eric Price each had fumble recoveries for touchdowns. The score was 47-7 at halftime. Mayo's fumble recovery, returned 35 yards for a touchdown, marked the third game in a row in which he scored. Price's fumble recovery was returned 20 yards. Lee had 11 tackles for losses, with Price and freshman Baron Hopson each having three. Next: Friday at Thomas County Central (2-2)

*5. (5) Harrison (2-2)

Last week: Beat River Ridge 49-0. Steven Peterson had seven receptions for 231 yards and TD catches of 65, 45 and 9 yards from Justin Fields, and Harrison took a 42-0 halftime lead. Fields was 12-for-19 passing for 268 yards. Harrison's varsity offense played only 29 snaps before being pulled one series into the second half. Next: Friday at Allatoona (2-2)

*6. (6) Northside-Warner Robins (3-1)

Last week: Game with Ware County was postponed to this week. Next: Friday at Ware County (0-2)

*7. (7) Hughes (3-1)

Last week: Beat Tri-Cities 20-12. Hughes won despite only 140 yards of total offense. Christian Royalston rushed for 101 of those yards on 13 carries. Next: Friday vs. Douglas County (4-0)

*8. (9) Douglas County (4-0)

Last week: Beat South Paulding 42-0. A week after rushing for 312 yards against Northgate, Uriah West rushed for 238 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries. Douglas County had 408 yards rushing. Next: Friday at Hughes (3-1)

*9. (8) Winder-Barrow (4-0)

Last week: Beat Loganville 17-14. Winder-Barrow trailed 14-0 in the first quarter but didn't allow another point. Brock Landis's 1-yard TD run with 2:42 left gave Winder-Barrow its first lead. Winder-Barrow is 4-0 for the first time since 2007. Next: Friday at North Oconee (1-3)

*10. (10) Allatoona (2-2)

Last week: Beat South Cobb 42-16. Allatoona trailed 16-14 at halftime but scored three unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter. Daniel Parsons rushed for 92 yards on five carries with two touchdowns, one a 77-yarder. Dante Marshall was 7-of-11 passing for 122 yards and two touchdowns. Next: Friday vs. Harrison (2-2)

Last week: Lost to South Pointe, S.C. 33-27. Buford fell to USA Today's No. 8 team and the best in South Carolina. Buford had been 9-0 against out-of-state teams and had not lost at home since 2012 (Gainesville). South Pointe QB Derion Kendrick, a Clemson commit, had 191 yards rushing and 133 passing. Buford led 27-26 on Anthony Grant's 24-yard TD run with 8:16 left, but South Pointe went back ahead on its next possession. Next: Sept. 29 vs. Clarke Central (3-1)

*3. (3) Stockbridge (4-0)

Last week: Beat Ola 33-3. B.J. Riley scored three touchdowns, and Demaje Carter returned an interception for a touchdown. Stockbridge has allowed only 17 points in four games. Next: Sept. 29 vs. Locust Grove (1-3)

*4. (4) Carrollton (3-0)

Last week: Beat East Paulding 43-41. Carrollton never trailed but never led by more than nine points and didn't have the game in hand until getting a first down in the final minute to run out the clock. Jaylan Thomas rushed for 243 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries. QB Mark Wright rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. He was only 9-of-19 passing for 96 yards. Carrollton survived four turnovers. Next: Friday vs. Woodland-Cartersville (2-2)

*5. (5) Warner Robins (4-0)

Last week: Beat Houston County 38-21. QB Dylan Fromm was 19-of-27 passing for 280 yards and three touchdowns against his former team. Next: Friday at West Laurens (2-2)

*6. (7) Jones County (4-0)

Last week: Beat Woodland-Stockbridge 46-7. Drake Bolus returned kickoffs 82 and 85 yards for touchdowns in the third quarter. He also rushed for 88 yards on 10 carries. QB Teldrick Ross rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns, one a 70-yard run to start the scoring, on nine carries. He was 6-of-8 passing for 97 yards and a touchdown. *7. (8) Starr's Mill (4-0)

Last week: Beat Sandy Creek 21-6. Cole Gilley rushed with 104 yards on 17 carries and scored on a 23-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter to ice the win. Michael Lantz kicked field goals of 50 and 47 yards. Next: Friday vs. Morrow (3-1)

*8. (6) Griffin (4-0)

Last week: Beat Baldwin 21-16. His team trailing 16-14 and facing a fourth-and-10, Griffin QB Aviouos Nelson threw a 24-yard pass to David Westmoreland with 1:09 left for the winning score. It was Nelson's third TD pass of the game and third fourth-down conversion on the 60-yard winning drive that started when Griffin recovered an onside kick. Griffin won despite minus-21 yards rushing. Nelson was 16-of-31 passing for 211 yards. Baldwin was held to 50 yards of total offense. Next: Friday vs. Whitewater (2-2)

*9. (9) Kell (1-3)

Last week: Beat Paulding County 58-46. QB Evan Conley passed for 326 yards, and RB Josiah Futral had 332 yards from scrimmage - 181 rushing on 23 carries and 151 receiving on seven catches. Next: Friday vs. Cass (0-4)

*10. (10) Wayne County (3-0)

Last week: Beat Appling County 49-14. Garret Overholt threw a school-record seven TD passes. He was  21-of-39 for 307 yards. Four TD passes went to Ashby Cribb. Wayne scored 42 in the first half. Next: Friday at Pierce County (1-2)

*4. (4) Blessed Trinity (4-1)

Last week: Beat Hart County 31-7. Jake Smith threw for 200 yards on just nine attempts (six completed). That included an 86-yard touchdown to Ryan Davis. Steele Chambers rushed for 111 yards. Elijah Green rushed for 95. J.R. Bivens had 12 tackles, twice that of his closest teammate, and thee for losses. Next: Friday vs. McCallie, Tenn. (4-1)

*5. (6) Jefferson (3-1)

Last week: Beat Flowery Branch 35-29. Jefferson scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to win against its former coach, Ben Hall, in his first season at Flowery Branch. Colby Wood rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries. Bryce Moore threw for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Next: Friday at Gainesville (1-2)

Last week: Lost to Marist 34-17. Tajh Gary scored Woodward's touchdowns on a 60-yard reception and 99-yard run. He finished with 214 yards from scrimmage. Next: Friday at Salem (3-1)

*2. (2) Peach County (3-1)

Last week: Beat Mary Persons 35-14. Chris Gibson rushed for 130 yards on 27 carries, and QB Antonio Gilbert passed for 137 yards, completing 17 of 24 attempts. Trevon Woolfolk rushed for 124 yards on eight carries. Peach County trailed 14-0 in the first quarter and suffered a blocked field-goal attempt that Mary Persons returned for a touchdown. Last week: Beat St. Pius 42-14. RB/DB Kyle McMichael rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. Hunter Cole intercepted St. Pius's only pass attempt and returned it 74 yards for a 7-0 lead. Next: Friday at Union County (4-0)

Last week: Game against Rutland was canceled. Next: Friday vs. Spencer (3-1)

Last week: Beat Coahulla Creek 62-6. Calhoun led 56-0 at halftime after Payton Morrow, James Prater and Aaron Hayes returned interceptions for touchdowns. They went for 41, 18 and 42 yards, respectively. Next: Friday vs. North Murray (2-2)

Last week: Game with Johnson-Savannah was postponed to Sept. 29. Next: Friday at Southeast Bulloch (0-3)

Last week: Beat Murray County 31-10. Tyran Dobbs rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries. Wade Cartwright was 14-of-18 passing for 118 yards. LB Levi Hembree returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown. Bremen is 4-0 for the first time since 2007. Next: Friday vs. Coahulla Creek (0-4)

*8. (10) Monroe Area (4-0)

Last week: Beat Madison County 38-14. QB Chandler Byron rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries. Jakia Thompson rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. Byron also threw a TD pass to Thompson. Javion Heard had five tackles for losses, two sacks and three QB hurries. Next: Friday vs. Apalachee (1-3)

*9. (NR) Westminster (1-3)

Last week: Beat Redan 44-0. Ward Croft was 7-of-10 passing for 150 yards and three touchdowns. Joe Egan scored three touchdowns on four touches as he rushed for 91 yards and caught a 49-yard TD pass. Redan was held to 120 total yards. Next: Friday at Cedar Grove (4-0)

*10. (9) Lovett (1-3)

Last week: Lost to Cedar Grove 41-14. Lovett lost to its second No. 1 team. The other is Greater Atlanta Christian of Class AA. Lovett's third loss is to No. 3 Marist of AAAA. Next: Friday vs. Towers (2-2)

*1. (1) Benedictine (4-0)

Last week: Beat Swainsboro 30-18. Leading 23-18, Benedictine didn't put away previously unbeaten Swainsboro until Travis Blackshear returned an interception 14 yards with 33 seconds left. Blackshear also rushed for 88 yards on 15 carries. Rico Powers rushed for 112 and two touchdowns on 13 carries. Swainsboro's Jalyn Williams rushed for 233 yards on 26 carries. Next: Friday at Vidalia (1-2)

*2. (2) Hapeville Charter (3-1)

Last week: Off. Next: Friday at South Atlanta (2-3)

Last week: Beat Butler 50-0. Screven had 10 sacks and held Butler to minus-28 yards rushing and minus-2 yards of total offense. Kashawn Robinson was in on three of the sacks, and Kendrick Cox, Nick Garvin and Demetrius Boyd were in on two each. QB Armani Bunbury ran for two touchdowns and passed for two more. Next: Friday at Laney (0-4)

Last week: Beat Upson-Lee 40-20. Beat Upson-Lee 40-20. RB D.J. Atkins had 102 yards from scrimmage, and QB Kedrick Ramsey was 10-of-14 passing for 126 yards and a touchdown. Johnathan Leonard had 17 tackles. Next: Friday vs. Harris County (2-2)

*6. (6) Thomasville (4-0)

Last week: Beat Worth County 76-20. The 76 points were the most for Thomasville since an 81-0 victory over Pelham in 1927 and second-most ever. Thomasville had 350 yards of total offense in the first half, 583 in the game. J.T. Rice had 283 yards passing. Sophomore WR Kevin Cochran had three catches for 125 yards and returned a kickoff for a touchdown. DB Antonio forced a fumble and intercepted a pass. Next. Next: Friday at Cook (0-4)

*7. (7) Brooks County (3-0)

Last week: Beat Pierce County 31-0. Brooks held Pierce County to 42 yards of total offense. Jonathan White rushed for 85 yards on 11 carries, and his two third-quarter TD runs put the game away. Next: Friday vs. Monroe (1-2)

*8. (8) Jefferson County (4-0)

Last week: Beat Laney 65-19. Jefferson County set a school record for points in a game and achieved it in the third quarter. The QB tandem of Chardell Hales and Jaden Jenkins was 16-of-18 passing for 293 yards and three touchdowns, all to Ty King. They rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries. King had eight catches for a school-record 201 yards. The defense created four turnovers and a safety. Next: Friday at Westside-Augusta (0-3)

*9. (9) Dodge County (3-0)

Last week: Beat Dooly County 70-27. Dodge County set a school record for points in a game, and three backs went over 100 yards rushing. They were R.J. Carr (17-176-1), Nic Cummings (11-103-1) and Erin Pitts (8-137-3). Cummings also threw two TD passes, one to Pitts. DE Cade Cranford had three sacks. Next: Friday vs. Southwest (2-1)

Last week: Beat Clinch County 21-7. Irwin intercepted Clinch County's first two pass attempts and forced four turnovers in the game. Irwin took a 14-0 lead with a 76-yard drive late in the third quarter. Steven Thomas rushed for 113 yards on 13 carries. Next: Friday vs. Telfair County (1-3)

Last week: Beat Atkinson County 46-0. A.J. Bell passed for 378 yards and four touchdowns, two to Eric Daniels, who had 174 receiving yards.
