Brookwood upset No. 2 Colquitt County 42-25 to improve to 2-2 and drop the visiting Packers to 4-1. Three of Dante Black’s five rushing touchdowns came in an opening quarter that saw Brookwood jump to a 21-0 lead. Colquitt County’s Steven Krajewski threw a 10-yard touchdown to JJ Peterson with 8:22 left in the second quarter, but Black answered with his fourth touchdown, a 28-yard run that put Brookwood up 28-7 at the half.
A Daijun Edwards 23-yard touchdown run capped off the Packers’ opening drive of the second half, but Brookwood quarterback Angelo DiSpigna found Matthew Hill 14 seconds later for an 80-yard touchdown that gave the Broncos a 35-14 lead. Colquitt County kicker Ryan Fitzgerald connected on a 26-yard field goal with 3:06 left in the third quarter and the Packers added an Edwards touchdown run and successful two-point conversion with 10:44 left in the game to make it 35-25. Black’s fifth touchdown run came with 1:46 to play, and then Kendall Williamson intercepted Colquitt County with 20 seconds left.
Brookwood outgained Colquitt County 449 to 283 in total yards, and Black finished with 264 rushing yards on 32 carries. DiSpigna completed 11 of 17 passes for 176 yards, and Hill had a game-high 93 receiving yards on three catches.

Duluth 42, Forysth Central 41
Duluth answered a Forsyth Central touchdown at the beginning of overtime with a 2-yard scoring run by Nathan Jarrett and a successful extra point from Marvin Jules to give the visiting Wildcats a thrilling victory. Brad Thiltgen had opened the extra frame with a 4-yard touchdown run, but the Bulldogs' ensuing extra point was blocked. Thiltgen completed 17 of 27 passes for 184 yards and also ran for a score in regulation. Devran Orsan led Forsyth Central's ground attack with 182 yards on 36 carries.
East Coweta 36, North Cobb 35
East Coweta pulled off the upset against No. 5 North Cobb in dramatic fashion. North Cobb scored on the second play of the game, but Dantarius Chunn answered with the first of his two 99-yard kickoff returns and caught an 85-yard pass from Christian Reid early in the second. Gerald Green rushed for a 58-yard touchdown to tie it at 21-21 in the third before North Cobb answered on a quarterback keeper for a score. Chunn, a defensive back, ran back another kickoff return for his third score of the night, but East Coweta fumbled on the opening play of the fourth. Down 35-28, the Indians got a touchdown run by Reid, who also rushed for the two-point conversion for a 36-35 East Coweta lead. North Cobb called its final timeout with 3:30 left to play, but Jalen Whisby broke up the following pass and the Indians ran down the clock before punting in the final minute and holding North Cobb on its final drive.
Hillgrove 42, Campbell 23
After a slow start, Hillgrove gained momentum during a big second quarter and coasted to victory over Campbell. Down 7-0 after the first, Trevor Smith tied it up on a touchdown run and quarterback Hunter Arters found Jonathan Elder to give the Hawks the lead. They took a 21-7 lead to the locker room at halftime after Lance Wise ran back an interception for a touchdown, and Arters again found Elder for a touchdown to give Hillgrove a 28-7 lead. Arters threw touchdowns to Justin Tew and Isaiah McCray in the fourth to complete Hillgrove's scoring.
Kennesaw Mountain 56, Osborne 6
Kennesaw Mountain controlled the game from the beginning, starting with a touchdown pass from Jarrett Guest to Nevarie Solomon. The Mustangs scored again in the first quarter and three more times before the half to make the score 35-0 at halftime, and they got a 32-yard touchdown run by Tony Mack early in the third quarter. Osborne scored with 2:23 left to play.
McEachern 28, Westlake 9
McEachern answered a Westlake safety and took a 6-2 lead into the second quarter with a Malik Evans touchdown run. McEachern’s Valerian Agbaw added a touchdown reception and a blocked punt that he returned for a score, and the host Indians led 21-9 after the third quarter. Evans ran in his second touchdown in the final quarter to expand the lead to 19 points.
Meadowcreek 38, Lithonia 0
With four minutes remaining in the first quarter, Chauncey Williams rushed for a 28-yard touchdown to put the Mustangs on the board. Williams had a 4-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter, a 17-yard rushing touchdown in the third and a 60-yard rushing touchdown with under a minute left in the third to put Meadowcreek up 31-0. Quvella Calhoun capped off Meadowcreek’s victory with a 20-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth.
Mountain View 52, Shiloh 0
Host Mountain View got a shutout win on a strong all-around performance. Quarterback Matt Edwards went 12-of-23 passing for 316 yards and four touchdowns, three of which were caught by receiver Malachi Carter, who had seven receptions for 190 yards. Edwards’ fourth touchdown pass was caught by Keelan Marion, who went 80 yards. The Bears defense had two safeties and two interceptions by Jayden Patterson, and it forced six turnovers just in the first half.
Newnan 42, Washington 14
Host Newnan led 14-0 at the half after a 13-yard touchdown run by freshman Bryson Moss and a 19-yard touchdown pass from Bryant Walker to P.J. Harris. Tristin Escoe already had two first-half interceptions and Tre Bridges had one of his own before their Newnan teammate Ricky Boozer grew the Cougars’ lead to 21-0 with a 26-yard interception return for a touchdown in the opening minute of the second half. Elijah Griggs ran in a 1-yard touchdown with 6:30 left in the third quarter, and Moss scored for a second time after a Washington muffed punt. With 1:28 left in the third quarter, Moss found the end zone for a third time on a 65-yard run.
North Forsyth 58, Pickens 35
Jacob Brumby threw three touchdowns in the first half and Robert Davis rushed for a 31-yard score to help host Pickens overcome a 21-7 first quarter deficit and tie the game at 28-28 late in the second quarter. North Forsyth’s Bryson Trigg also scored three times in the first half, and his third score put the Raiders up 35-28 at the break and began what would turn into a 30-0 scoring run for North Forsyth. Quarterback Ben Bates, who accounted for the other two North Forsyth touchdowns in the first half, threw two more scores in the third quarter before Trigg’s fourth rushing touchdown put North Forsyth up 58-28. Davis ran in Pickens' final touchdown with 9:30 left.
Tift County 50, Parkview 37
Tift County overcame an early 14-7 deficit and had two players finish with three touchdowns as it defeated Parkview. Tift County receiver Rashad Bateman scored on passes of 81, 77 and 66 yards and finished the game with six receptions for 248 yards. Mike Jones ran in touchdowns from 26, 18 and 9 yards and finished the game with 119 yards rushing on 15 attempts. Shamil Johnson added a 5-yard rushing touchdown for Tift County, and quarterback Griffin Collier finished 15-of-19 passing for 353 yards and three touchdowns.
Walton 44, Wheeler 10
Host Walton scored six touchdowns in the first two quarters to take a 42-10 halftime lead. Walton got a big play when Wheeler senior Omarea Carpenter intercepted Walton’s Austin Kirksey, but as Carpenter was falling to the ground, Walton senior receiver Chandler Smith stripped the ball from him and ran it in for a touchdown. Kirksey also had an 8-yard rushing score, and D.J. Soyoye rushed for two touchdowns.
West Forsyth 15, Dacula 9
Dacula started the scoring with a field goal at the 1:48 mark in the first quarter, and the Falcons extended their lead with 4:59 to go in the second quarter when quarterback Shayne Buckingham threw a 28-yard touchdown pass. Seven seconds into the fourth quarter, West Forsyth quarterback Zachary Burns had a 23-yard touchdown pass to tight end Ben Bresnahan, cutting Dacula’s lead to two, 9-7. Later in the fourth, Burns tossed a 16-yard touchdown pass, and the Wolverines got a two-point conversion for the final score.

Allatoona 42, South Cobb 16
Allatoona held South Cobb scoreless in the second half to pick up the road win. South Cobb scored first with a touchdown in the first quarter, but the Buccaneers quickly answered, and then Allatoona’s Danté Marshall had a QB sneak for the Buccaneers to end the first quarter with a 14-10 Allatoona lead. The Buccaneers scored three touchdowns in the third quarter, getting scores by Adrian Boyd, Daniel Parsons and Jonathan Walk to extend their lead to 35-16. Marshall hit Dawson Coltran for a 40-yard for Allatoona’s final touchdown. Senior defensive end Royce Francis blocked an extra point and a field-goal attempt.
Alpharetta 42, Northview 17
Quarterback Matthew Downing led host Alpharetta with four touchdown passes, including an 82-yard pass to Spencer Gaddis that gave the Raiders a quick 7-0 lead. Later in the opening quarter, Jaycee Horn added an interception return for a touchdown and Downing found Michael Marbaugh to grow the lead to 21-0. Northview scored on consecutive drives and the lead shrunk to 21-10 with 10:23 left in the half, but on a third-and-10 from the Raiders’ own 3-yard line, Downing found Marcus Hill on a pass that was tipped before the senior receiver took it for a 97-yard Alpharetta touchdown. Dane Motley grew the 27-10 halftime lead with a 55-yard interception return for a touchdown in the third quarter, and on the first play of the fourth quarter, Downing found Horn for a 24-yard touchdown to make it 42-10.
Centennial 21, Johns Creek 17
After a scoreless first quarter, Centennial got on the board with a 49-yard touchdown catch by Blane Mason. Johns Creek hit a field goal after its drive was stalled by a sack by Jack Barton and Nick Croawell, and Centennial held a 7-3 halftime lead. Johns Creek scored two quick touchdowns in the third quarter, but Centennial’s Julian Nixon answered with a touchdown with 8:50 left in the third. With under six minutes left to play, the Knights converted a fourth-and-1 from the Johns Creek 26-yard line then scored on a pass from Max Brosmer to Mason. The Knights’ Justice Turner closed out the game by breaking up a potential touchdown pass.
Dalton 41, Sprayberry 0
Dalton held Sprayberry to 85 yards on 30 rushes and limited the Yellow Jackets to 42 yards passing. Dalton running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and Tyis Love combined for a total of 159 yards and four touchdowns. Catamounts quarterback J.P. Tighe was 9-of-16 passing for 162 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Wide receiver Chandler Starks led the Catamounts with four receptions for 68 yards.
Harrison 49, River Ridge 0
Host Harrison turned a 7-0 lead at the end of the first quarter into a 42-0 score at the half. Curtis Scott and quarterback Justin Fields each ran for touchdowns in Harrison's big second quarter, and the Hoyas blocked a River Ridge punt that was recovered for a touchdown by Kameron Coleman for a 35-0 lead. Fields found Steven Peterson in the end zone late in the first half.
Langston Hughes 20, Tri-Cities 12
After a scoreless first quarter, senior running back Christian Royalston scored the first of his two rushing touchdowns early in the second and gave Langston Hughes a halftime lead of 7-6. In the third quarter, senior kicker Adrian Strain made a pair of field goals to match Tri-Cities’ six points scored in the period and keep Hughes ahead 13-12. In the fourth quarter, Royalston rushed for his second touchdown to seal the win. The Panthers improved to 3-1 and the Bulldogs fell to 0-3.
Lanier 15, Lambert 6
After a Lambert field goal, Lanier quarterback Zach Calzada connected on a 30-yard touchdown pass to running back Mekel Fuller, giving Lanier a 7-3 lead with 3:30 to go in the first quarter. Lanier stretched the lead to 10 when Calzada found Jacoby Sharpe for a 31-yard touchdown. After missing the extra point, Lanier led 13-6 at halftime. The deciding play came late in the fourth when Lanier’s defense forced intentional grounding in Lambert’s end zone for a safety, sealing the win for Lanier.
Pope 35, Cambridge 6
Pope got off to a strong start with a 1-yard touchdown run from Xavier O'Neal in the first quarter. The Greyhounds scored twice more before the half while Cambridge remained scoreless, and Pope held a 21-0 halftime lead. The Bears came out of halftime and got on the board with a touchdown at 7:18 in the third quarter, but Pope answered with an 85-yard touchdown run by Matthew McAlpine. Campbell Rickers closed the game with a 5-yard touchdown run for the Greyhounds. O'Neal rushed 17 times for 175 yards and one touchdown, and Rickers was 9-of-12 passing for 104 yards. Ryan Stuetzer had two interceptions for Pope to give him five in the last two games.
Sequoyah 49, Creekview 13
Sequoyah took a 21-0 first-quarter lead on Collier Pecht touchdown passes to Patrick Ballance and Cole Jacobs and a Jacobs run and coasted from there. Wesley Potter had a big game, catching a 48-yard touchdown to give the Chiefs a 35-0 lead, breaking up five passes on defense and completing all seven point-after attempts. A blocked punt recovered in the end zone put the Chiefs up 42-0 in the third, and Pecht threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Luke Jensen for the final score.
Stephenson 14, Lovejoy 7
Stephenson scored the first 14 points of the game, all in the first two quarters, and held on from there to defeat visiting Lovejoy. The Jaguars got a 1-yard touchdown dive by Darren Parker and a 21-yard scoring run by Deondre Jackson. Lovejoy put up points on the final play of the opening half thanks to a 24-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Huntington to Jerrod Means, but a scoreless second half ensued. The Wildcats twice moved into Stephenson territory in the fourth quarter, including once after a Malik Astin fumble recovery, but the Jaguars defense proved to be too tough.

Bainbridge 43, Early County 0
Senior running back Dameon Pierce, an Alabama commit, rushed 16 times for 104 yards and four touchdowns, scoring on runs of 21, 11, 10 and 5 yards in one half of play before host Bainbridge pulled him. Mark Loeffler was 9-of-15 passing for 151 yards and a 27-yard touchdown to La’Derrick Murphy, and Markel Broadnax had a 1-yard touchdown run for the Bearcats. Bainbridge led 33-0 at halftime.
Banneker 23, Riverwood 20
After a scoreless first quarter, James Efrimea kicked a 15-yard field goal to put Banneker up 3-0. Riverwood answered quickly with a 25-yard rushing touchdown by Pache Caldwell. After a second rushing touchdown by the Raiders, Banneker’s Dionte Bonneau scored on a 5-yard rushing touchdown to bring the score to 14-9 in favor of Riverwood. With the Raiders ahead 20-15 with five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Banneker scored on a 15-yard rush to secure the win.
Carrollton 43, East Paulding 41
Carrollton's overpowering rushing attack proved the difference in a back-and-forth game. The Trojans led 15-7 after the first quarter and 22-14 at the half. Jaylan Thomas scored on runs of 73, 42, 32 and 8 yards, and Mark Wright Jr. added a 47-yard and a 19-yard rushing touchdown. The Trojans amassed 578 yards of offense with 482 rushing yards. Thomas finished with 250 yards rushing on 19 attempts. Wright added 149 yards rushing on 10 attempts.
Dutchtown 10, Heritage-Conyers 7
After a scoreless first quarter, Dutchtown drove inside Heritage’s 20-yard line but could not covert and settled for a 21-yard field goal by Ocean Curvin. The score remained 3-0 at the half. Heritage responded on its first drive of the half with a 57-yard touchdown run to make it 7-3. Following an interception by Dutchtown’s Chris Joyce with 5:46 left in the game, the Bulldogs got a game-winning drive capped off by a Shanaan McKoy touchdown run with 1:20 left.
Eagle's Landing 34, Hampton 0
Logan Friddell of Eagle's Landing made two field goals, and the team got a rushing touchdown from Dre Addison, making the halftime score 20-0. The Golden Eagles got two more rushing touchdowns from Addison and a 46-yard quarterback keeper from Cameron Lewis with 4:33 left in the third. The Golden Eagles improved to 3-1.
Hiram 14, Cass 7
Host Hiram took a 7-0 lead with a 1-yard touchdown run by Marcel Murray, and minutes later the senior running back rushed for a 75-yard touchdown to put the Hornets up 14-0 in the first quarter. The teams remained scoreless until 6:09 was left in the final quarter, when Malik Grimes of Cass turned a tipped pass into a 69-yard touchdown reception. D.J. Crum intercepted Cass deep in its own territory late in the fourth quarter, and Hiram ran the clock out for the win. Murray rushed 14 times for 148 yards.
Kell 58, Paulding County 46
Kell held the lead throughout the entirety of the game, as the two teams exchanged scores that totaled 104 points. Despite an impressive performance with three touchdown passes from senior quarterback Brantley Maulding, the Longhorns’ eight touchdowns were too much to match. Exceptional outings from quarterback Evan Conley, running back Josiah Futral and wide receiver Blake Simpson led the Longhorns to their first win.
Miller Grove 18, Lakeside-DeKalb 16
Miller Grove's junior receiver Kameron Williams had two touchdowns, one in the first quarter and one in the third. Miller Grove also got an interception by senior defensive back Brandon Booker in the third quarter, and the Wolverines blocked a field goal to preserve the win.
Riverdale 53, Henry County 20
Riverdale’s Phalon Daniels scored four touchdowns and rushed 16 times for 202 yards, and senior running back Lee Sims had 10 carries for 97 yards and scored two touchdowns for host Riverdale. Derwin Burgess Jr. scored on a 96-yard kickoff return and rushed for 55 yards on 10 carries. Riverdale’s final touchdown was on a 55-yard fumble return by linebacker Chris King.
South Pointe (S.C.) 33, Buford 27
Despite rushing touchdowns of 24 and 3 yards from Anthony Grant, Buford lost at home to South Carolina powerhouse South Pointe. The Wolves got a defensive touchdown in the first quarter when Mick Reese recovered a South Pointe fumble in its own end zone, going up 7-0. The game was tied 14-14 at halftime after Grant's first touchdown run, and Buford pulled within one point, 21-20, in the third quarter after an Austin Turner 70-yard punt return for a score (there was no PAT attempt due to a botched hold). After South Pointe hit a field goal to close out the third quarter, Buford regained the lead 27-24 with Grant's second touchdown. But South Pointe would score the final nine points on a touchdown and a safety with 1:04 left to ensure the win. South Pointe quarterback Derion Kendrick rushed 17 times for 191 yards to go with 133 passing yards and a touchdown. Christian Turner led Buford with 90 yards rushing.
Stockbridge 33, Ola 3
Stockbridge’s dominant first half put the Tigers ahead early in their win over Ola. BJ Riley had a short rushing touchdown to put the Tigers up 6-0 in the first quarter. Riley extended Stockbridge’s lead to 13-3 after a 17-yard touchdown run with 6:57 remaining in the first half. Moments later, Demaje Carter intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown to give Stockbridge a 20-3 lead. Before the half ended, Gabriel McKenzie had a 40-yard rushing touchdown to make the score 27-3.
Union Grove 38, Locust Grove 34
Union Grove trailed Locust Grove 34-24 midway through the fourth quarter before its comeback. Rushing touchdowns by Keyon Carter, quarterback Devon Tumblin and Michael Reese put Union Grove ahead 24-20 before Locust Grove scored on back-to-back possessions to take a two-possession lead. Union Grove turned the ball over on downs to start the fourth but forced a punt at the six-minute mark, and Tumblin completed a 30-yard pass to Winston Reese to bring the score to 34-31. Winston Reese recovered the ensuing onside kick and Michael Reese scored again, this time on a 15-yard run, for a 38-34 lead. Tumblin intercepted a pass on Locust Grove's final possession to complete the comeback.

Blessed Trinity 31, Hart County 7
Blessed Trinity scored 31 straight points following a first-quarter deficit to surge past host Hart County. Jake Smith had a touchdown run, an 85-yard scoring strike to Ryan Davis and a successful two-point conversion pass to Davis. The Titans also got 2-yard touchdown dives by Elijah Green and Carson Harof in addition to a 20-yard field goal from Ethan Chauvin. Blessed Trinity eventually took control despite turning the ball over three times in Hart County territory, including twice inside the 5-yard line. Jer’Rontay Morrison had a touchdown run for the Bulldogs.
Northside-Columbus 23, Carver-Columbus 20
Host Northside-Columbus overcame a 20-10 fourth quarter deficit to defeat Carver-Columbus for the first time in school history. Carver built a 14-0 lead with a Desmond Whitlock touchdown pass to Jarius Thomas and a 6-yard Whitlock touchdown run. Northside got on the board with the first of its three made field goals in the game, and Chandler Blanton tossed a touchdown pass before the half to make it 14-10. Justin Swain scored on a 9-yard run with 1:45 left in the third quarter to set up the 20-10 lead Carver took into the final quarter. Two Northside field goals, including a 43-yarder, cut into the Carver lead and pulled Northside within 20-16 with 7:42 left. On the next possession, Northside’s Fred Davis intercepted Carver and returned it to the 5-yard line, and Marcus Smith would run in the game-winning 5-yard score.
West Hall 13, Dawson County 10
Israel Lopez kicked a 19-yard field goal with 14 seconds remaining to lift West Hall over host Dawson County. Quarterback Michael Thompson converted a big third-down run on the final drive and had another run to the 2-yard line before the Spartans decided to try a field goal with time still left on the clock because they had no timeouts. Thompson ran in a touchdown in the second quarter, and Lopez also kicked a 45-yard field goal in the first quarter. Dawson County got a touchdown run by Sean Thomas and a 42-yard field goal by Peyton Allen that tied the game at 10-10 in the fourth quarter.

Greater Atlanta Christian 42, St. Pius 14
Greater Atlanta Christian scored 21 straight points against host St. Pius to break open a game that was tied 7-7 after one quarter. Cole Hunter got the scoring started with a 73-yard interception return for a touchdown before St. Pius answered with a 3-yard touchdown run by Jason Jones. Spartans running back Kyler McMichael took over in the second quarter by scoring twice on the ground from 54 and 23 yards away. Josh Rose threw touchdown passes to Zac Mixon and Jeffrey Blake, while Blake caught a touchdown from backup quarterback Jackson Hardy.
Westminster 44, Redan 0
Westminster excelled in all three phases of the game en route to a shutout of visiting Redan. The Wildcats led 20-0 after one quarter, 30-0 at halftime and 37-0 going into the fourth. Ward Croft threw three touchdowns —
one to Joe Egan, another to Nance Hill and a shovel pass to Truman Jones. Egan also ran for a touchdown, as did Paul Weathington to provide the game’s final points in the fourth quarter. The stout defensive effort featured interceptions by Peter York and Charlie Edmiston, while Charlie Ham kicked a 43-yard field goal in the second quarter.

Pace Academy 59, Stone Mountain 3
Pace Academy took a 3-0 lead on a 30-yard Jack Ferguson field goal with 6:03 left in the first quarter. Keashawn Perryman scored three minutes later on a 6-yard rush to push the lead to 10-0. Stone Mountain scored its only points on a Laurence Yancy field goal before Pace Academy piled on four touchdowns before the teams could make it to the half. Perryman scored again with 7:48 left in the second quarter to make it 17-3, and Jared Rayman found Jayden Thomas on 15-yard touchdown pass with 3:45 left in the half to push it to 24-3. With 1:49 remaining in the half, Justin Johnson rushed in from 1 yard to give Pace a 31-3 lead. Rayman found Perryman on a 23-yard pass at the end of the half to push the lead to 37-3. Perryman would score just seconds into the third quarter on a 20-yard run. with 2:48 left in the third, Gabe Wright found Jimbo Smith on a 6-yard pass to make it 52-3. With 8:28 remaining, Wright rushed for a 6-yard score.

Fellowship Christian 35, St. Francis 20
Fellowship Christian’s freshman running back Lawson Haigler had 29 carries for 151 yards and three touchdowns. In the first half, FCS outgained St. Francis 241 to 90 and led 21-7 at halftime. In the second half, FCS had 25 passing yards and 82 rushing yards. Junior free safety Cameron Gill returned an interception to score a touchdown for the Paladins in the third quarter.
Mt. Paran Christian 56, King’s Ridge Christian 14
Jack Allen rushed for two touchdowns and a game-high 111 rushing yards off his four first-half carries as visiting Mt. Paran built a 28-7 halftime lead. Chandler Webber contributed 105 more rushing yards to Mt. Paran’s 408-yard total, and Nathaniel Raeder, Cameron Moore and John Robert Sess also rushed for scores in the Eagles’ win. Mt. Paran quarterback Kyle Terry threw a 10-yard touchdown to Kellum Rowan.
Wesleyan 42, Our Lady of Mercy 7
Banks Ramsey completed 15 of 17 passes for 244 yards and threw four touchdowns to go along with one touchdown run, leading Wesleyan to a victory over visiting Our Lady of Mercy. The Wolves jumped out to a commanding 21-0 advantage by the end of the first quarter and led 35-7 at halftime before methodically putting the game away.
