Offseason coaching changes are up to about 20 now. Here are eight reported in recent days.
*Chris Griffin has resigned at Flowery Branch after four seasons. His record was 28-23, although the 3-7 finish in 2016 was the school's worst since 2004. Griffin has been on Flowery Branch's staff for 15 years.
*Nicolas Kashama is out at M.L. King, which was 9-21 in his three seasons, 2-8 in 2016. M.L. King won region titles in 2010, 2011 and 2012 with Kashama as defensive coordinator, but he couldn't reverse the Lions' steady decline since Michael Carson was pushed out after the 2011 season.
*Central of Carroll County is parting ways with Larry Kesler after one season and an 0-10 finish. Kesler had come from Elbert County, where he was offensive coordinator, to replace Rico Zachery, who had won 30 games in three seasons to revive a long-suffering program. Zachery took a job on Georgia Southern's support staff.
*Chad Davenport won't return to Northview, where his teams were 27-45 in seven seasons. Northview struggled to 2-8 this year after the 15-year-old program's first two winning seasons in 2014 and 2015.
*Union Grove has posted an opening after two seasons under Craig Melton. The Wolverines have gone 1-9 and 1-8-1. Melton had been athletics director at Hampton and defensive coordinator at Locust Grove before that.
*Ed Lovvorn has stepped down at Jeff Davis after one season, according to Football Scoop. The Yellow Jackets finished 2-7. Lovvorn had been promoted from defensive coordinator.
*Monroe Area's Joey Sulkowski is out after three seasons. His teams were 7-24. Sulkowski had been the offensive coordinator at Baker County in Florida before coming to Monroe in 2014.
*The Therrell job is open, according to Football Scoop. Dominic Callaway was 12-28 in four seasons at a school that had won only 16 games in the previous 10 years. Callaway was head coach at Mays from 2008 to 2012.
