The Big Ten's weekly awards honored two former Georgia high school players. Minnesota RB Rodney Smith was the offensive player of the week. Smith had 257 all-purpose yards (including 111 rushing and a 94-yard kick-return touchdown) in a 34-32 victory over Rutgers. Penn State CB Grant Haley was the co-special teams player of the week.
