Roswell's state-record streak of avoiding a shutout ended last week when Colquitt County defeated the Hornets 28-0 in Moultrie. Roswell had not been shut out for 221 games, or since Oct. 2, 1998, by North Cobb. The longest active streak is now 175 by Fitzgerald. Here are schools that have gone 125 games without a shutout. Four remain active. Colquitt County is at 124. Shutouts are less common today. Only five schools before 2000 ever reached 100 games without a shutout. Warner Robins was the first to do it while setting a record with 123 straight from 1975 to 1984.
