With 10-0 regular-season finishes, Buford and Calhoun extended two of the longest streaks of winning 10 games in a season in GHSA history. Camden County's streak of 13 is over. Ware County, also 10-0, became the 47th school to win 10 games for at least five consecutive seasons. Five other schools, including co-record holder Northside of Warner Robins, can extend their streaks in the playoffs. The state playoffs were only three rounds through 1989, making it harder to reach 10 victories in earlier seasons.
