The NFL season kicks off this week. There are 12 Georgia football head coaches this season who played in the NFL. Those include newly hired Jeff Saturday of Hebron Christian, Terance Mathis of Pinecrest Academy and Terry Jones of South Cobb, all head coaches for the first time.

*Carl Parker, Lanier County (1988-89 Bengals)

*Stanley Pritchett, Arabia Mountain (1996-2004 Dolphins, Eagles, Bears, Falcons)

*Raleigh Roundtree, Josey (1998-2002 Chargers, Cardinals)

*Jeff Saturday, Hebron Christian (1999-2012 Colts, Packers)

*Chris Slade, Pace Academy (1993-2001 Patriots, Panthers)

Note: The list does not include a few others, such as Pacelli's Mark LeGree, Discovery's Efrem Hill and Savannah Christian's Donald Chumley, who were drafted or made NFL rosters but never appeared in regular-season games. The NFL does not officially track those players, making it hard to identify all of them.
