Won't you elect to read and share this Georgia Tech and ACC stuff?

Georgia Tech was eviscerated by North Carolina in one of the worst showings by a defense in school history.

Esteemed colleague Jeff Schultz asked if it's the players or coaching. Paul Johnson's answer made it seem like he thinks it's along the lines of trying to fit square pegs into round holes.

Now that it has been eliminated from making it to the ACC championship game, all the team has left to play for is a winning record, possible lower-tier bowl appearance … and defeating Georgia in a game that will feature one offense that can’t move the ball against one defense that can’t stop anyone. Good times.

ACC Power Poll

This ACC Power Poll can’t be affected by anything that happens during today’s election. Clemson (1): The Tigers (9-0, 6-0) had no trouble with Syracuse and seem to be rounding into form at just the right time. Next: vs. Pitt.
Louisville (2): (8-1, 6-1) The Cardinals steamrolled yet another opponent. Next: vs. Wake Forest.
Florida State (3): (6-3, 3-3) The Seminoles waited until the last second to defeat N.C. State. Next: vs. Boston College on Friday.
North Carolina (4): (7-2, 5-1) The Tar Heels rolled up more than 600 yards in offense against Georgia Tech. Next: at Duke on Thursday.
Virginia Tech (5): (7-2, 5-1) The Hokies survived Duke and now get to face Georgia Tech. Next: vs. Georgia Tech.
Miami (7): The Hurricanes (5-4, 2-3) snapped a four-game losing streak. Next: at Virginia.
Pittsburgh (6): The Panthers (5-4, 2-3) were clobbered by Miami in one of the head-scratching results of the weekend. Next: at Clemson.
Wake Forest (9): The Deacons (6-3, 3-2) are going bowling! Next: at Louisville.
Georgia Tech (8): The Yellow Jackets (5-4, 2-4) are reeling. Next: at Virginia Tech.
N.C. State (10): The Wolfpack (4-5, 1-4) are looking at the bottom. Next: at Syracuse.
Syracuse (11): They (4-5, 2-3) could do nothing right last week. Next: vs. N.C. State.
Duke (12): The Blue Devils (3-6, 0-5) are going to be good, they just aren't right now. Next: vs. North Carolina on Thursday.
Boston College (13): The Eagles (4-5, 1-5) had no chance against Louisville. Next: at Florida State on Friday.
Virginia (14): The Cavaliers (2-7, 1-4) lost to Wake Forest. My god, man. Next: vs. Miami.

Tech in the NFL

As you send your ideas (hint, hint) for content for our little Tuesday conversation, I'll try to add them. Here's one asking how Georgia Tech's players did in the NFL last week:

Jeremiah Attaochu, Chargers, OLB: No tackles in a 43-35 win over the Titans.
Morgan Burnett, Packers, safety: Six tackles in a 31-26 loss to the Colts.
Adam Gotsis, Broncos, DT: One tackle in a 30-20 loss to the Raiders.
Michael Johnson, Bengals, DE/OLB: Team was off last week.
Shaq Mason, Patriots, OL: Team was off last week.
Daryl Smith, Bucs, LB: Six tackles in a 43-28 loss to the Falcons.
Demaryius Thomas, Broncos, WR: Five receptions for 56 yards in a 30-20 loss to the Raiders.
Darren Waller, Ravens, TE: Two catches for 17 yards in a 21-14 win over the Steelers.
Philip Wheeler, Falcons, LB: One tackle in 43-28 win over the Buccaneers.
D.J. White, Chiefs, CB: No tackles in a 19-14 win over the Jaguars. He is out injured.

Basketball rebounds

Former Tech great Mario West is an author. So, he's played college ball, played in the NBA and has now been published. That's three more things than I've done with my life.

Tech got a win, albeit over Shorter, in an exhibition on Saturday. "We were a different team from how we'd been practicing and how we played last Saturday," coach Josh Pastner said in post-game comments. "I was like, 'Who are these guys?'"

But then it was learned that Tech has suffered a temporary loss.
