Georgia Tech coach Brian Gregory’s shopping for the summer is not quite finished.

Two graduate transfers from metro Atlanta have reportedly listed Tech as potential destinations. Tech is interested in both Richmond forward Alonzo Nelson-Ododa and Arkansas Little-Rock forward James White to take the final scholarship.

Nelson-Ododa (6-foot-9, 235 pounds) averaged 6.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game for the Spiders last season as a junior. Nelson-Ododa, who started seven out of 27 games last season, is from Norcross High. He is second all-time on Richmond’s career blocks list with 185.

White (6-8, 220) averaged 11.9 points, 6.6 and 1.7 blocks in 27.1 minutes. White, from Jonesboro High, played only 15 games this season because of a stress fracture in his tibia.

Both would add depth to a frontcourt rotation of Charles Mitchell, Nick Jacobs and possibly sophomores Ben Lammers and Abdoulaye Gueye and incoming freshman Sylvester Ogbonda. Were either White or Nelson-Ododa to select Tech, five of the 13 scholarship players would be transfer.

A graduate transfer who had visited Tech, Tyler Harris of Providence, selected Auburn last week.
