Georgia Tech has a lot work on this week ahead of the game against … wait, who is it they play again? (looks at schedule). Oh yes, Georgia.

And here's a comprehensive look at the Yellow Jackets' win over Virginia.

Wide receiver Brad Stewart should be back for Tech.

New incoming athletic director Todd Stansbury will start on Monday . Remember to bring cookies.

This trio of players received gameballs for their performances against Virginia.

At least one bowl game is interested in Tech.

ACC Power Poll

This ACC Power Poll is one that everyone should give thanks for because it is the last one.

  1. Clemson (1): The Tigers (10-1, 7-1) had no trouble with Wake Forest. Go figure. Next: vs. South Carolina.
  2. Louisville (2): The Cardinals (9-2, 7-1) were thumped by Houston 36-10, a defeat that may complicate Lamar Jackson's hopes of winning the Heisman. Next: vs. Kentucky.
  3. Florida State (3): The Seminoles (8-3, 5-3) ran away from Syracuse behind Dalvin Cook. Next: vs. Florida.
  4. Pittsburgh (4): The Panthers (7-4, 4-3) throttled Duke. Next: vs. Syracuse.
  5. North Carolina (5): The Tar Heels (8-3, 5-2) beat up on The Citadel. Next: vs. N.C. State on Friday.
  6. Virginia Tech (6): The Hokies (8-3, 5-2) ensured Notre Dame will have a losing season. I'm not complaining. Next: vs. Virginia.
  7. Miami (7): The Hurricanes (7-4, 4-3) handled N.C. State. Next: vs. Duke.
  8. Georgia Tech (8): The Yellow Jackets (7-4, 4-4) won a puzzling game against Virginia. Next: at Georgia.
  9. Wake Forest (9): The Deacons (6-5, 3-4) were outmatched in Death Valley. Next: vs. Boston College.
  10. Duke (10): The Blue Devils (4-7, 1-6) came down to earth against the Panthers. Next: at Miami.
  11. N.C. State (11): The Wolfpack (5-6, 2-5) were undone by 24 points scored by the Hurricanes in the second half. Next: at North Carolina on Friday.
  12. Syracuse (12): They (4-7, 2-5) were outmatched by the Seminoles. Next: at Pitt.
  13. Boston College (13): The Eagles (5-6, 1-6) beat Connecticut. Yawn. Next: at Wake Forest.
  14. Virginia (14): The Cavaliers (2-9, 1-6) seemed to play better than their record indicates. Next: at Virginia Tech.

Basketball rebounds

Power forward KJ Hymes visited Tech. It was an unofficial visit, so don't get too excited. (That's making me fun of the difference b/w unofficial and official.)

Curtis Haywood II received an offer from Josh Pastner. He's from New Hampshire. Coach Josh Pastner is leaving no Maple Leaf unturned in his search for talent.

Georgia Tech lost to Ohio on Friday. If you hadn't already heard, Pastner wants his team to play with poise. Sorry, pace. He wants his team to play with pace.

Interesting news

A former Tech athlete could receive a bronze medal 8 years after her competition.

Two former Tech golfers enjoyed their rounds in St. Simons.
