Georges-Hunt's NBA opportunity coming soon, draft or otherwise

Georgia Tech All-ACC guard Marcus Georges-Hunt most likely will not hear his name called in Thursday night’s NBA draft, but it’s also likely that he’ll have suitors soon after the draft ends.

That was the opinion of two draft experts, Jonathan Givony of the website DraftExpress and NBA senior scouting director Ryan Blake. Particularly due to his stint at point guard this season, Georges-Hunt is versatile, can defend multiple positions and can make his own shot. His shooting has improved and his character should help him. Blake said in March that he "opened a lot of eyes in terms of from the NBA" with his play this season.

Georges-Hunt has criss-crossed the country to work out for teams, dutifully documented on his Twitter account. The list includes: Boston, Denver, Brooklyn, Detroit, Houston, Utah, Dallas, New York, Orlando, Milwaukee and the Hawks.

Guard Adam Smith has also been worked out by Boston, Charlotte and Phoenix, suggesting he has a shot at a summer-league spot.
