The Orange Bowl needs more cowbell.

Georgia Tech fans attending the Orange Bowl Dec. 31 may want to brace themselves, as Mississippi State fans will be allowed to bring their famed cowbells to the game. The school made the announcement Tuesday. The clanging noisemakers are a staple at Davis Wade Stadium, with thousands of fans bringing them to Bulldogs games. The Yellow Jackets experienced the cacophony when they played at Mississippi State in 2009.

Fans will be governed by the rules administered by the SEC, that the use of cowbells or other “traditional institutional noisemakers” at any time except from the time when the center is over the ball until the play is whistled dead.”
