Three days after playing in his final amateur event – the Palmer Cup, a Ryder Cup-style event for collegians –Albertson played the first round of the New Bern Pro Classic, an event on the SwingThought.com Tour in New Bern, N.C.

The debut was quite promising. He finished the first round in a tie for 10th with a 4-under 68. The second round of the four-round event takes place Thursday.

The SwingThought.com Tour is lower-tier professional tour which previously was known as the Hooters Tour. Results of the New Bern Pro Classic are available here. Former Tech golfers James White, Seth Reeves and Shun Yat Hak are also on the tour. White, in fact, is No. 8 on the money list this season.
