Weekend lane closures in metro Atlanta to affect Cobb and Fulton the most

State Routes

• One lane will close on Ga. 237/Piedmont Road at its intersection with Habersham Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday.

I-285

• Two lanes will close on the westbound ramp to I-85 northbound for concrete rehabilitation. Traffic will be detoured to the Pleasantdale Road exit and merge onto I-85 northbound. Law enforcement will be on in the work zone on the Pleasantdale Road collector-distributor lane directing traffic as needed. The closure will take place from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

• Two northbound lanes will close between Ga. 8/U.S. 278/Hollowell Parkway and Ga. 280/South Cobb Drive from 6 a.m., until 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday for concrete rehabilitation.

• Two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane will close between Ga. 260/Glenwood Road and the I-20 interchange from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m., Monday for sign structure work.

• A traffic pace will take place from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday, on the I-285 eastbound collector-distributor lanes from Cobb Parkway to the I-75 interchange. Motorists will be required to drive 5-10 mph to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes.

I-75

• Rolling lane closures will take place between the I-675 interchange and Cumberland Boulevard to install RPMs. The closures will take place from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Sunday. Georgia DOT contractors will slow down traffic traveling on I-75 to complete their work installing RPMs on the interstate. Motorists should expect multiple lane closures at a time and slow down while driving through the work zone.

• Sign structure work will require one northbound and two southbound lanes to close between Windy Hill Road and Ga. 280/Delk Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 9 p.m., Saturday.

•  Two southbound lanes and one northbound lane will close over I-285 between Windy Ridge Parkway and Cumberland Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Sunday.

• Due to the Express Lanes project, two northbound lanes will close between Ga. 280/Delk Road and Windy Hill Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

• One southbound lane will close between Ga. 280/Delk Road and Windy Hill Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday.

• One southbound lane and shoulder will close between Ga. 138 and Mt. Zion Boulevard from 9 p.m., Friday until 7 a.m., Monday.

• One northbound lane and shoulder will close between Ga. 138 and Mt. Zion Boulevard from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday.

• One northbound lane will close between Jodeco Road and Hudson Bridge Road continuously from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday.

• One southbound lane will close between Jodeco Road and Hudson Bridge Road continuously from 9 p.m., Friday until 7 a.m., Monday.

• A traffic pace will take place anytime between 9 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m., Monday, on the southbound lanes between the I-675 interchange to Hudson Bridge Road. The Hudson Bridge on-ramp will be blocked during the traffic pace. Motorists will be required to drive 5-10 mph to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes.

• One lane will close on the southbound on-ramp from Ga. 280/Delk Road from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday.

• A flagging operation will take place on Bells Ferry Road under I-75 from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

• Two lanes will close, one in each direction, on Frey Road under I-75 from 7 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.

I-575

• A traffic shift will take place on the northbound lanes between Ga. 92/Alabama Road and Ridgewalk Parkway from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Sunday.

• A traffic shift will take place on the northbound lanes between Ridgewalk Parkway and Sixes Road from 9 p.m., Sunday until 5 a.m., Monday.

I-20

• One eastbound lane and the shoulder will close between Ga. 70/Fulton Industrial Boulevard and the I-285 interchange from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Sunday.

• Two eastbound lanes will close between Ga. 139/Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Sunday.

• Two eastbound lanes will close between Ga. 280/H.E. Holmes and Ga. 139/Martin Luther King Jr. Drive from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday for bridge joint rehabilitation.
