Drivers in Cobb and DeKalb counties can expect heavy delays due to road work.

Three right lanes on I-75 southbound in Cobb County will close for bridge work, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. The work is part of the Northwest express lanes project.

Closures are from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday.

In DeKalb County, drivers who normally take Turner Hill Road will have to take a different route beginning at 6 a.m. Monday.

The road will close all week for repairs to a Norfolk Southern railroad crossing. Traffic will detour to Covington Road.

Repairs are scheduled to end 9 p.m. Dec. 15.
