MARTA continues to solicit public feedback on its plans to expand transit across the city of Atlanta.
The agency will ask commuters for feedback at six stations from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. today: Five Points, Midtown, Georgia State, West End, Lenox and Inman Park.
Commuters will have a chance to review a list of 17 proposed projects and take a survey on what transit projects they’d like to see. The agency made a similar canvassing effort at stations last week.
In 2016, Atlanta voters approved a half-penny sales tax to expand transit in the city. In May, MARTA unveiled a proposal to spend the $2.5 billion the sales tax is expected to generate over 40 years. The proposal includes 21 miles of light rail, 18 miles of bus rapid transit lines, other new bus routes; two new transit centers, and renovation of existing stations.
