History of transportation in Georgia a trip down memory lane

Throughout history, roads, railroads and rivers have been the lifeblood by which towns and cities grew and prospered.

The Georgia Archives will highlight the role of transportation in the state on April 23 at a daylong symposium. A new exhibit on transportation will open the same day in the exhibit space just off the lobby. A traveling exhibit for the 100th anniversary of the Georgia Department of Transportation will be featured.
