News today in the world of transportation technology: Google Maps has struck up a partnership with Megabus to allow travelers to compare fares and schedules and plan trips.

The website will also provide street-level views of bus stops and lets travelers explore connections to other modes of transportation.

Megabus.com, a city-to-city express bus company, currently serves 10 million customers per year in more than 130 major cities, including Atlanta.

How will it work? Through Google Maps, travelers can search for available megabus.com routes by typing in a city name, address or a business or location name if an exact address is available.

Depending on the trip, megabus.com service may be combined with other transportation options to take travelers from their doorstep to a final destination.
