Looking to get out of town over spring break or the Easter holiday? The Georgia Department of Transportation has some good news for you.
GDOT will restrict construction-related lane closures on interstate highways statewide for the next two weekends to accommodate spring break traffic. The move will be in effect from noon Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday this weekend and the following weekend.
In addition, GDOT will limit lane closures on interstates and other roads near major tourist attractions, malls, shopping centers and shopping districts from 11 p.m. April 14 to 11 p.m. April 16 – Easter weekend.
