If you're driving along I-575 and I-85, you may not sit in traffic that long. Only one northbound lane closure is expected for each highway.
As for the rest of you, just be thankful it isn't a holiday weekend — yet. Take a look at your weekend road work and closures:
Northwest Corridor Express Lanes
I-75
The southbound exit ramp to South Marietta Parkway will partially close from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.
Expect rolling lane closures between South Marietta Parkway and Delk Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.
I-575
One northbound lane will close between Alabama Road and Towne Lake Parkway from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.
I-285
Two westbound lanes will close between Powers Ferry Road and Cumberland Boulevard from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Drivers will have to reduce their speed between 5 mph and 10 mph while heading westbound between Northside Drive and Cumberland Boulevard to allow for interstate work across lanes. The traffic pace will take place from 11 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday.
South Metro Express Lanes
I-75
One southbound lane will close between Lake Spivey Parkway and Hudson Bridge Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Monday.
One northbound lane will close between North McDonough Road and Hampton Road from 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday.
One lane on the southbound exit ramp to Hampton Road will close from 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday.
Three northbound lanes will close between Cumberland Boulevard and Delk Road for sign structure work from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
Three northbound lanes and one southbound lane will close between Delk Road and South Marietta Parkway for sign structure work from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
The I-75 northbound exit ramp to South Marietta Parkway will close from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday.
Drivers will have to slow their speeds between 5 mph and 10 mph while contractors demolish a building Saturday.
The traffic paces will take place on the I-75 northbound ramp from Central Avenue as well as International Parkway and Frontage Road from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
I-85
One lane will close just north of Atlanta on the southbound ramp to I-285 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
I-20
Two westbound lanes and the shoulder will close between the I-285 interchange and Six Flags Parkway from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
The westbound exit and entrance ramps for Fulton Industrial Boulevard and Six Flags Parkway will close from 11 p.m. Friday to 6 am. Saturday and again from 11 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday.
One eastbound lane will close between Fulton Industrial Boulevard and the I-285 interchange. Two eastbound lanes will close between the I-285 interchange and Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Both closures will take place from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
I-285
Up to two westbound lanes will close between Chamblee-Tucker Road and Buford Highway from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
A section of the on-ramp from I-285 westbound to I-85 northbound will close from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Two northbound and two southbound lanes will close between Atlanta Road and the I-20 interchange each nightly from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The closures start Friday and end Monday.
Two northbound and two southbound lanes will close just before and right after Atlanta Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday and again from 9 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday.
Three westbound lanes will close between Flat Shoals Road and Bouldercrest Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday.
One lane will close on the I-285 eastbound ramp to I-75 southbound from 6 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Ga. 400
Up to three northbound and three southbound lanes will close between Lenox Road and Holcomb Bridge Road nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closures begin Friday and end Monday.
One northbound lane will close between Peachtree Parkway and MacFarland Parkway from 9 p.m. Friday to noon Monday.
Two northbound and two southbound lanes will close just before Encore Parkway from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.
Other state routes
One northbound and one southbound lane along Moreland Avenue will close between the I-285 interchange and Key Road for deep patching. Road work will take place from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday and again from 8 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
One northbound and one southbound lane along Peachtree Industrial Boulevard will close between North Shallowford Road and Club drive from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday and again from 8 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
One eastbound and one westbound lane along Old Milton Parkway will close between the Ga. 400 interchange and Brookhollow Trail from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday.
