The sights and sounds of Atlanta are great. But the smells and tastes might be even better.

Inspired by the explorations of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's food and dining editor, Ligaya Figueras, Bikabout.com has created a map of notable local eateries around town that also happen to be connected by bike trails.

The website provides a compendium of self-guided bike rides to inspire travelers (and locals) to explore cities on two wheels.

Highlights along this, the inaugural Bikeabout route for Atlanta, include the Central Food Hall at Ponce City Market, Krog Street Market, and Sweet Auburn Curb Market.

If you're ready to take a spin, check out the downloadable map at this link: http://www.bikabout.com/best-city-bike-routes/will-bike-for-food-in-atlanta
