Unsatisfied with boring toppings like ketchup, mustard or tomatoes, a restaurant in Durham, N.C. is offering one with a tarantula on top.
"People say it tastes most like crab, or other shellfish, sometimes with a bit of a metallic-y taste," Bull City Burger said in a social media post. "BUT, the legs, the body...each bite tastes a bit different. Best way to answer that question? Try one for yourself!"

Anyway, the item is available only by lottery. One lucky (?) winner per drawing gets to sink his or her teeth into the giant furry legs. So far four diners have answered the challenge.

If you're not quite ready to embrace this level of arachno-cuisine, Bull City has other critters available: "Don't worry, we've got chocolate covered bugs too!"
Bull City is celebrating "Exotic Meat Month" (slogan: "We never met a meat we wouldn't eat") and has been serving anything they can get their hands on. Rabbit and elk are a little unusual but not totally off the wall.
