Childish Gambino’s ‘This Is America’ Set The Internet on Fire Donald Glover, a.k.a. Childish Gambino, dropped his new single, “This Is America”, after performing it on ‘Saturday Night Live’ this weekend. The single dropped with a music video that serves as a statement of violence and gun control in America and has people on social media calling him a “genius”.

Attendees of Donald Glover’s three-day PHAROS Festival in New Zealand were treated to the first teaser of the Georgia native’s secret project with Rihanna. The footage quickly made the rounds online.

According to Hollywood Reporter, “Guava Island” is produced by Glover’s alter ego, Childish Gambino, and is directed by Hiro Murai, the man behind Gambino’s “This is America” and “Sober” music videos.

“We live in paradise but none of us actually have the time or the means to live here,” Glover says in the new teaser trailer, which begins with the sweet strums of a guitar and ends with what looks like a hostage situation.

The film also features stars Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie.

Both Glover and Rihanna have kept quiet about the mysterious project since a photo of the stars on the set of the film went viral in August.
