Tyler Perry is "fascinated" by Donald Trump but doesn't want him in the White House

Tyler Perry addressed his fellow Americans from the "Oval Office" recently. It's the set of his new TLC series "Too Close to Home."

Tyler Perry likes Donald Trump fine as a businessman, and says he's been "completely fascinated" by his rapid ascension in politics. But make no mistake, the filmmaker does not want the mogul and reality show personality turned GOP nominee running the country.

"My support is totally behind Hillary," Perry said during an interview in Atlanta on Monday. He was meeting the press to promote his new movie "Boo! A Madea Halloween," which is due out Oct. 21. More on that closer to the release date.

We asked if the unprecedentedly weird presidential campaign is informing his creative processes these days.

"I’m completely fascinated by Donald Trump," he said. "I’ve always been a fan of the businessman. To see he has been able to rise this far as a political candidate is shocking to me."

“I feel very presidential sitting at this desk,” he said during a Facebook Live session filmed on the set. “I will never run for president, trust me. The closest I’m going to get to the Oval Office is this one right here. It looks real good, and real fake.”
