The NAACP Image Award winners are announced Feb. 11 on TV One, and Atlanta personalities and projects are among the recently announced nominees. Here's a link to the full list.

Namely,  Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who spends a great deal of time working in Atlanta and elsewhere in Georgia, is up for entertainer of the year. He just wrapped filming for the new "Jumanji" reboot in Atlanta. He and Zac Efron filmed the film adaptation of the TV series "Baywatch" on the Georgia coast; it's due out in May.

The FX show “Atlanta” and locally filmed Starz series “Survivor’s Remorse” are up for outstanding comedy series.

Donald Glover is up for outstanding actor in a comedy series for his role in "Atlanta;" he's also up for outstanding writing  and directing in a comedy series.

Tichina Arnold is up for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series for her role in "Survivor's Remorse."

The WGN series "Underground," which is set in Georgia and films here now after a first season in Louisiana, is up for outstanding drama series. Jurnee Smollett-Bell is up for outstanding actress in a drama series for her role in "Underground" and Amirah Vann is up for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series for her role.

The HBO movie "Confirmation," about U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas' confirmation hearings, is up for outstanding television movie, limited-series or dramatic special. It was filmed here. Kerry Washington, who played Anita Hill, is up for outstanding actress in a television movie, limited-series or dramatic special for her role.

Atlanta resident Steve Harvey's talk show is up for outstanding talk series and he is up for outstanding host.

Nickelodeon's "All In With Cam Newton," featuring the Carolina Panthers QB from here, is up for outstanding children's program.

"Hidden Figures," which filmed in metro Atlanta, is up for outstanding motion picture; the book by  Margot Lee Shetterly upon which the movie starring Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae and Taraji P. Henson is up for outstanding literary work/non-fiction.

Henson is up for outstanding actress in a motion picture for her role as Katherine Johnson in "Hidden Figures." Spencer is up for outstanding supporting actress for her role as Mary Jackson in "Hidden Figures."

Mo'Nique is also up for best supporting actress, for her role in locally filmed "Almost Christmas."

Chadwick Boseman is up for outstanding supporting actor in a motion picture for his role as Black Panther in "Captain America: Civil War." He's now starring in the Marvel movie "Black Panther."

The Smithsonian Channel's "Major League Legends: Hank Aaron" is up for outstanding documentary - television.

Anthony Hemingway is up for outstanding directing in a dramatic series for  "Underground."

Rick Famuyiwa is up for outstanding directing in a motion picture - television for "Confirmation."

"Olympic Pride, American Prejudice," written and directed by Atlanta resident Deborah Riley Draper, is up for outstanding documentary - film.

And brothers Anthony Russo and Joe Russo are up for outstanding directing in a motion picture - film for "Captain America: Civil War."
