The Atlanta native 's tenure on the daytime show was never dull. When conservative pundit Ann Coulter visited "The View" last year to discuss her support of presidential candidate Donald Trump and her disdain for illegal immigration, she wound up in a brief verbal fracas with Raven-Symoné.

Raven-Symoné challenged Coulter saying, “My mom taught me when I was younger, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Why do you think it’s important to mudsling?”

Responded Coulter: “I’m at least talking about policy. You have a position on what people’s names should be. You’ll insult people for their names. I’m talking about a government policy … that is harming our country.”

She was referring to Raven-Symoné's remark about how she wouldn't hire someone with a strange name like "Watermelondrea."

Earlier this year Raven-Symoné' said she'd leave the country if Trump is elected.

Raven-Symone's comments on that issue and others prompted critics to launch a petition demanding she be fired, but she is leaving on her own terms.

She said she'll be moving to Los Angeles for the new project.
