It's official: Boss has a new home!
The sweet dog with the mournful expression made the rounds on social media after the Atlanta Humane Society posted a heartbreaking photo . Boss had spent 280 days in the shelter after his former family gave him up.
Once the holiday-themed image was posted on Wednesday, the Atlanta Humane Society encouraged supporters to share it in hopes of finding a new home. Did they ever.

"We are overwhelmed with your amazing support of our sweet boy Boss!" the Humane Society posted on Thursday in a follow-up post - more than 43,000 shares and 900 comments later. " He met with a potential new family today and is going to meet two potential dog siblings tomorrow to see how they get along. None of this would have been possible without you all sharing him, and we can't thank you enough!"
