President Donald Trump is back from Asia. On Tuesday he tweeted that he'd be "making a major statement from the White House" upon his return (time and date TBD). But first, he wants to let everyone know he was "forced" to watch CNN while abroad (it's unclear what exactly caused the compulsory TV viewing) and he's really upset.
Upon return, Trump had more tough talk for North Korea, saying the isolated nation must agree to eliminate its arsenal, not just freeze its nuclear weapons program.
The Associated Press reported that China and Russia have said embraced the idea of restarting negotiations by allowing a freeze of North Korea nuclear and missile programs. In exchange, the United States and South Korea would stop military drills that Pyongyang finds provocative.
Trump counters that a "freeze-for-freeze" agreement isn't acceptable.
