Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. had positive things to say about president-elect Donald Trump and indicated he will be in Washington for inaugural festivities during a brief interview with TMZ Sports.
"Y’all will see me in DC .. looking good!" the champ said. "I got my tux and everything ready!"
Mayweather has met with Trump since the election and reported that "All Donald Trump talked about was helping America become great again. That’s what he talked about."
The two seem to share a mutual affinity.
"He’s never been mean to me. Donald Trump came up to support me for the Manny Pacquiao fight," Mayweather said. "I was very appreciative for that."
"A lot of times we judge people we really don’t know," Mayweather continued. "I’m not here to say nothing negative about nobody."
He had praise for outgoing President Barack Obama and hopes for his successor.
"Barack Obama was a good president," Mayweather said. "Hopefully Donald Trump is a good president."
