Former U.S. Rep. Bob Barr and his wife Jeri attended the "Heroes and Villains" costume party at the home of hedge fund manager Robert Mercer, a key donor, over the weekend. President-elect Donald Trump attended as a surprise guest of honor.

Jeri Barr, executive director of the Center for Family Resources in Marietta, said the annual holiday party has a different theme each year. One year's dress code was Western, one's was "The Titanic," one's was the 1940's and so on. This year's happened to coincide with the election.

The Barrs elected not to dress in costume as did Trump, although his campaign manager Kellyanne Conway embraced the theme:

Jeri Barr, an active civic volunteer, served as the Director of Volunteer Cobb before taking the helm at CFR in 1984. The organization serves families in need in numerous capacities, including providing housing assistance, transportation and groceries to families in transition and GED prep, employment readiness and life skills training.
