Actress Alyssa Milano, who got involved with Jon Ossoff's congressional campaign while in Atlanta filming a new television show, was dismayed her guy didn't win outright Tuesday night.
In fact the race headed to a runoff with former Secretary of State Karen Handel makes her ill. She registered her reaction via Twitter, where she's been posting messages of support, retweeting Ossoff's remarks and adding photos of herself on the stump, even giving voters a lift to their precincts during early voting.
Ossoff, a 30-year-old filmmaker who does not live in the 6th District (congressional candidates aren't legally required to live in the districts they seek to represent) is a relative political newcomer who nonetheless drew national attention and high-profile support.
Milano and Christopher Gorham, shown above, got on board while in Atlanta filming a new CW pilot called “Insatiable.” Actress Rose McGowan and producer Shannon Fitzgerald held a fundraiser for him in Hollywood and prominent Democrat politicos have urged their supporters to back his bid.
