Previously executive chef of San Diego’s Double Standard Kitchenetta, Gentile recently moved to Atlanta. He decided to open Iselle in Midtown because it has a unique “level of urban vibrancy,” a press release said.

“Colony Square is in the midst of an incredible renaissance, and we’re eager to introduce our own take on Italian to the area while we’re right here in the center of the action,” Gentile said in a statement.

Gentile’s father, a local jazz pianist, will perform regularly at the bistro.
