Want to eat healthier? More salad is coming to Atlanta by the end of the year

On the heels of a successful launch at Atlantic Station , Houston-based salad chain Salata has announced its second metro Atlanta location will open next week, with a third location set to open by early 2018.

The "next generation salad bar" will open Nov. 9 in the Glenridge Point Shopping Center at 860 NE Johnson Ferry Road in Sandy Springs.

The first 50 guests will receive a complimentary meal including a small salad or wrap and signature drink. Coupon and merchandise giveaways will take place throughout the day, and a raffle will be held for one guest to dine at Salata free for one year.

In addition, the restaurant will donate 25 percent of grand opening day proceeds to Bert’s Big Adventure, a local nonprofit organization that provides trips to Walt Disney World for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place 10:30 am., followed by the eatery's regular business hours from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Henry Investment Group plans 20 total Salata locations for metro Atlanta.
