True Food Kitchen to open second metro Atlanta location

A spot known for its healthy menu is set to open a second metro Atlanta location next year.

Phoenix-based True Food Kitchen will debut at Alpharetta mixed-use development Avalon late next year. The restaurant will be located on the west end of Avalon Boulevard across from Crate & Barrel.

The first Atlanta True Food Kitchen opened at Lenox Square in 2014. The restaurant was previously part of Fox Restaurant Concepts, which also owns Flower Child and Zinburger, among other eateries. The restaurant will occupy more than 5,800 square feet of indoor space and an additional 4,000 square feet of outdoor patio space.

The menu implements the teachings of health and lifestyle guru Dr. Andrew Weil, a partner in the restaurant group, and caters to nearly every food preference with a variety of gluten-free, organic, vegetarian and vegan options. The restaurant also serves fresh juices, organic teas and other natural drinks.

Founded in 2008, True Food Kitchen has 25 locations in 11 states including California, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia and Pennsylvania. The restaurant brand plans to double the number of restaurants it operates over the next three years.
