Three events for tomato lovers to enjoy this month

Tomato lovers rejoice! July is full of tomato-themed events to enjoy.

Attack of the Killer Tomato FestivalThe ninth annual festival returns to Park Tavern in Piedmont Park on Sunday, July 16. Created by  chef and restauranteur Ford Fry,  the festival brings together the South's top chefs, mixologists and local farmers to celebrate local, organically grown food.

TomatoJam at South City Kitchen Vinings- South City Kitchen Vinings is celebrating the tomato with its annual special menu, TomatoJam. The offerings on this limited-time menu include tomato pie with bacon marmalade and watercress; simple heirloom tomatoes with dried cherry tomatoes, spiced peanuts and chive vinaigrette; Blue Point oysters with green tomato granita; and rolled beet dumplings with smoked tomato, mustard greens, mushrooms, asparagus and pickled shallots. TomatoJam items will be on the menu until July 22.

Tomato Feast at La Tavola- La Tavola's executive chef Brian Moll has created a handful of tomato specials that will be available for a limited time. From antipasti to desserts, tomatoes touch every part of the menu. The special menu will be available until July 25. View the full menu here.
