A Marietta restaurant that has received accolades since its opening is receiving another tip of the hat from a national publication.

Spring, located at 83 Church St., is the only Georgia restaurant named to Bon Appetit magazine's 2017 list of finalists for the best new restaurant in America.

The magazine described Spring as "the stellar restaurant you wish your suburban hometown had," and recommended ordering the house-made butter and sourdough bread and chicken liver paté on toast with blueberry jam. The vibe was described as "genteel Southernness with a dash of farm-to-table modernity."

Chef and owner Brian So opened Spring in April 2016. Since then, So was named one of AJC's chefs to watch ; the restaurant received a three-star review;  and its chicken liver pate on toast was named dish of the week . So was also named a semifinalist for the James Beard Awards' Rising Star Chef of the Year.

This isn't the first time that a new restaurant has been recognized by Bon Appetit -- Atlanta restaurant Staplehouse took the title of best new restaurant in America last year.

This year's top 10 will be announced on Aug. 15.
