Getting through the work week can be such a drag, but Avondale Estates spot Pallookaville is hoping to help you get through it with a new menu and the addition of drag bingo.
Known for its creative corn dogs and other carnival-style fare as well as its adult beverages, the quirky restaurant has also added a variety of salads, burgers and vegetarian fare to its menu.
On the entertainment side, the restaurant has added drag bingo with comedian and drag personality Brent Star from 8-10 p.m. Thursday nights.
The quirky restaurant, which started as a food truck by local notable Jim Stacy , was sold to James Maggard and Jason Hylton , also owners of Matador Cantina in Oakhurst and The Local No. 7 and M572 in Tucker, in early 2016. In addition to the menu and entertainment additions, the pair also redesigned the interior of the building including a 2000-square-foot space upstairs for special events and an outdoor patio.
