Whittling down the list of best restaurants in the country is no small task, but reservation site OpenTable thinks its users are up to the challenge.

Its list of best restaurants in the country -- generated by diner reviews collected from Nov. 1 2016-Oct. 31, 2017 -- includes three Atlanta entries, which all happen to be located in Buckhead:

Bones: The steakhouse, in business since 1979, was recently named to Business Insider's list of expensive steakhouses worth the price.

La Grotta: Serving up Northern Italian pastas and other Italian dishes since 1978, the restaurant "deftly walks the fine line between outdated and classic," former AJC food writer Jon Watson wrote in 2013.

Umi: The swanky sushi spot from Fuyuhiko Ito, has been a favorite for nigiri-sushi lovers for four years.

To be considered for the list, restaurants needed to have a minimum "overall" score and number of qualifying reviews. Qualifying restaurants were then sorted according to a score calculated from each restaurant's average rating in the "overall" category.

Restaurants from 24 states and Washington D.C. made the cut.
