Smoked pork cook-off with almost twenty local chefs. Evening screening of “The Goonies” with popcorn, candy and a specialty drink. An anniversary patio party. There are several fun, food events happening in metro Atlanta, so add one or all four of the following activities to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.

Wednesday, March 29: Morningside Kitchen will celebrate its first anniversary with a patio party featuring complimentary snacks, a specialty cocktail by American Spirit Whiskey and live music from Laigh Langley. Free and open to all.

Friday, March 31: To celebrate National Clam Day, C&S Chowder House will shell out a special menu for their first annual Clam Jam. Throughout the day, guests will be able to dig into raw, steamed, fried and grilled clams; sip Sweetwater drafts for $3; and drink wine offered at $5 per glass. Additionally, the Atlanta Steel Pan Duo will perform from 7-10 p.m.

Sunday, April 2: The fourth annual Chef Thunderdome: Smoke & Glory will feature an all-star lineup of Atlanta's finest chefs in a battle of the beasts cook-off with smoked pork spare ribs from 12-4 p.m. at Steinbeck's Ale House . Almost twenty chefs from restaurants including Richard's Southern Fried, Farm Burger, Twain's and Hampton + Hudson. Tickets, which can be purchased here, are priced at $10 for children 5 – 12 years old; $20 for children and adults 12 – 20 years old; and $65 for adults 21 years old and up. The latter includes unlimited beer tastings from craft brewery participants. DJ Keiran Neely of the Music Room will spin soul, funk and vintage hip-hop. Proceeds will be donated to The Giving Kitchen and Camp Horizon.

Sunday, April 2: Make it a movie night at The Pinewood , which will screen "The Goonies" at 8 p.m. Guests will receive complimentary popcorn and candy. A cocktail called Goonies Never Say Die! will be available alongside a variety of dinner options including fried chicken, pulled pork and sliders. For a little friendly competition, each guest will be given a movie-related Bingo card to fill out during the screening of the film, and the winner will receive a free drink. Tickets are $59 for two and can be purchased here.
