Here are the stories that made a splash in the Atlanta food world this week.
Ms. Icey's, a restaurant from Sim Walker, the owner of Negril Village in Midtown , is set to open tonight, according to its Instagram account. The restaurant will be in soft open "friends and family" mode for the next two weeks.
The eatery is taking over the space at 1371 Clairmont Road in Decatur vacated by Mason's Tavern last year , Tomorrow's News Today first reported.
Ms. Icey's -- named for Walker's grandmother, Icelyn -- doesn't have a menu on its website, but photos of dishes including a sweet potato kale salad, skillet cornbread, Strip Club wings and a variety of juices on its Instagram account.
Daniella Lea has been named pastry chef for The St. Regis Atlanta. Lea has worked at five-star hotels and restaurants in Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, and previously served as the pastry chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Santiago in Santiago, Chile.
Tickets for the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival, to be held from May 31-June 3 in Atlanta, go on sale today. The festival will have an all-female advisory council for the first time. Purchase tickets here.
Tony Noviello, the owner of Nino's Cucina Italiana at 1931 Cheshire Bridge Road , is stepping aside this year. Noviello's daughter Alessandra Noviello Hayes and her husband Micah are coming on board as partners as the restaurant celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Boneyard Kitchen & Tap is set to open in April at 12050 Etris Road in Roswell in the former Blue Agave space, Tomorrow's News Today reports.
